Though what i have always wondered about the age of "in app purchases" is how much of them go through the "store/market" and not the app provider's billing crew. Seems like it would give the opportunity for any app maker that uses their own billing system to remove barriers that would require authentication or even notification of purchases. Think if your information is given in app to "unlock the full version" instead of the "app/market" now the EULA for adding that information may bring the ability for the application to bill as you go. Lets look at an example
I buy the hot bird flinger game everyone seems obsessed about and supply in app my information to buy new explosive birds. Awesome now i can explode the feathery smirking bastards. Sweet boom! save the day. What the ending to the game wasn't the end? Lets grab that new level by clicking "continue exploding birds in the sun" a new 20$ addon with more bird types! Awesome! No where does it say the content is DLC and will be charged. it just loads and continues... and now you have a seamless operation of pumping sales and technically having already informed the customer at the initial purchase somewhere in the EULA that some continuations of levels could be dlc. Bam there you have something that could be considered... well i'm not sure malicious is the right word but i'm sure slashdot has some better suggestions...but that is how i've been noticing all of these "in app purchases" with zenonia, and many other games. Even after purchasing the "full version" there are a ton of ad-dons and "bonuses" that seem to just crop out of nowhere...i initially though it was just an unfinished game or the devs just "forgot" to put that content in there but it could be more.
That really solves nothing, moving it to a queue like state, as well limiting the ability to trade would defeat the purpose of trading stocks, as it would limit the ability to move them around thus cutting profit the backbone of greed.:)
So if that is true, for not being able to seize the domain, would that make the doj and interpol unable to shut down the pirate bay or others? The sites couldn't be seized, and in that effect if they are property, are the the property of the entity that gives them, the land the entity resides in, or the property owner (considering it is not the distributing entity) ?
Not really android is pretty much just what a tablet and touch screen interface is for. as for fiber they've been doing that for a while i'v read. I hope the are a JOAT soon:) i'd take their internet gladly.
Well there are a few games that are probably on the good ol' xmas list anyways. Though these are the ones that i have played ober the past few xmas's
Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls:
An excellent throwback to the elder of the Final Fantasy series. The new dungeons and exceellent redrawing of the characters is just enjoyable. The mix of old and new bosses within the first game are worth it alone....not to mention no more inneffective fighting.;) Unless you count the battery failing;) The remakeof FF2 is pretty nice and very close to the orignal. The music on both are quite nice and enjoyable.
Legand of Zelda Four Swords:
Its Zelda with a multiplayer twist...addictingly fun with multiple people though it is the third zelda in the series a very good pickup none the less my girlfriend has been addicted to it like she is to chocolate;) hard to peel away at least until she got...
Legand of Zelda: The Minish Cap:
Yeah she got this game and still has yet to finish it. She has to find everything....damn persistance i want to play it sometime too heh.... but there are many many things to find and puzzles to solve. Done in the good ol' top down fashion so you can still feel like your on the super nintendo.
moving along a little bit....
Final Fantasy IV:
This title just came out recently but if it is anything like the SNES version of FFII it will be a killer of time and money well spent. The updates to the soundtrack and the redawing of a good portion of characters to cleant them up to the re graphing of the dialouge to reflect better story should welcome new fans and help remind some of us getting on in our gaming years what rpg's use to have.
I am very sorry to see on of my favorite game developers take a dive and close up shop due to a tiff with sony of all people. There are other consols that would gratly benifit from the aqusition of some of thesee titles. Specificly the Xbox and Revolution. The Xbox is in dire need of an rpg base especially japanese rpgs. From what i've read that is one major reason for the poor launch in japan. Though i dont know if sony has ownership or a percentage of influence(stocks like square) over the company but i dont see any need to cease their existance. Sorry this is all gabled but i'm getting rady for a final and this sad news is just that sad..
farewell WD I'll still be playing your games when you've gone..... Go lunar.
I've been using gaim for a year or so and have never seen anyone that has gotten the file transfering working between msn/yahoo/aim working properly. Evan after setting ports and forwarding them as nessicary all it ever does is time out. No connections ever seem to get through. This is a major turn off for almost everyone i know. It drove most of my family back to Aim with the ads and everything. All they want is the extra features that are not working on the "third party" clients....if you can tell me how to get the file sharing and such working by all means let me know.
When will they make a Sirrus/XM satalite Ipod....i mean what could be better;) At that point it would be the most unstoppable expensive radio in the world right;) The satalite radio addition would give the best resource for finding new music through the "radio"
Shame the article is down..but as a new user to linux i really don't know much of whats under the hood. I've been slowly working with linux for a while (red had, gentoo, ubuntu, debian) and consistantly run into the same problems.
1.) Difficulty in managing users (gui and otherwise)
2.) Difficulty finding "X" software and then figuring out what it does.
3.) Installing the software through the GUI
Compared to windows these are monumental tasks. The point and click method doesn't work in the environment as easily as it does with windows. Where as since 9x to the present day you can take a windows install and "click" around all day and possiably accomplish something. True you can break windows pretty bad doing this but what the hey reboot and 40 mins later i get to start all over again. heh
I'm slowling working my way through an AMD64 install of gentoo learning the curve as the pitches come but man is it teeth pullingly painful.
I feel the biggest hurdle that i've encountered is installing software. I understand that gentoo uses the portage system which seems great! Its really easy to maintain stuff that i've installed aready but i still have to use a terminal. Where as compared to windows i can just find a list of what is installed with purdy pictures.
Wish i had more time to clearly think this topic through but gotta head to class:( . i hope someday i'll be able to run a full blown linux system:) damn windows!
That would be an amazing feature! Though the audio has been done before. My friend gets updates to his WWE games with full audio fixes for songs players voices etc...all on his jumpdrive. His EA college football is player accurate with audio covers. It is all possable there just needs to be the option. Another idea for SEGA is to just give updates to the 2k5 series though something like xbox live and or Update the actual game through something like Live or xbox magazine. I dont know of any other ways for ps2 other than the jumpdrive to update games....since it doesn't have a hard drive.
Should of went with the name....It is too painful to watch something syndicated by idiots...seriously how many times is the dood going to keep hitting on the robotic voice that play ever crack for him and his joystick....
Well there is the possability of complaining to the nfl and reversing the decision or passing a complaint to the us supreame cours that would hold a omnoply issue with EA...... if anyone know how to go about these aroutes there should be something that can be done. I do not want to support slave laboring EA...on top of this i do not want to see the shit stain of all sports game companies to rule the land either what ever happend to making video games better..... ea seems to me to pull the good ol' magic card trick....make new sets and just re hash older cards
Sounds like time to upgrade

Yes following a court order brought about by a non government entity right?
if it is in 3d i wonder how long we will have to watch someone play before they run out of space.
Thats why i do it.... I want your game on my pc... not your favorite other things... then i gave up trying to pirate...i just went to the console.
