You're assuming that you don't earn anything on the principle after it comes back to you. If you dump your principle back into ING and let it sit, you have earned a total of $216 at the end of 3 years. Still not the $300 you 'instantly think', but at lot better.
If you want to earn a constant 10% (or whatever) you have to keep your principle invested. So as you receive each payment, you would loan some of it back to another party.
BTW, forget ING, EmigrantDirect and HSBC (among others) are paying 4.5%
Or if you have any competence you could configure an E1405 from Dell with...
14.1" screen (1280x800)
Core Duo 1.83
512 MB RAM
60 GB HD
for $899
The only way you'd get that Dell up to $1500+ is with a 4 year warranty. You can get a 7200 RPM harddrive and DVD burner and still be cheaper than the base MacBook.
There's still an Apple premium. The software may be worth the difference, but as long as you want to spec just the hardware, that's a damn expensive webcam.
But the H3 gets 20MPG compared to the H2's 11MPG! It's a huge sacrifice all those Hummer drivers are making stepping down to the H3. Way to take one for the team!
I wonder when Google makes the Dow Jones? Seems like how Google's stock goes is a big indicator of how the market goes.
So the Dow Jones is up a couple hundred percent over the last couple years, but off 25 or 30% since Jan? I must have missed that story in the WSJ. You'd think they'd mention something like that.
I tried to list a new-in-the-box Windows NT4 CD on Ebay several years ago. It was pulled within hours with a note stating Ebay in cooperation with MS do not permit reselling of their software except by licensed parties (and so forth).
A lot of these 50,000 'suspicious' copies are probably legitimate, you just can't sell it on Ebay because that would price the software at its true market value. First-sale doctrine, we hardly knew ye.
In a stunning counter-move, Yahoo and Microsoft seek joint ownership of Caterpillar Inc., the largest supplier of backhoes worldwide. Analysts estimate Google's fiber-optic lines could see as little as 9.99999% uptime.
Why would I be upset that he made a bunch of money entertaining people with his book?
The truth is easy. You know something; you say it. And you're done. Lying is hard work. There's the whole process of fabricating the story, embellishing it with details, presenting it with conviction, and so on. Don't you think people should be rewarded for their hard work?
What they really need is a second barcode I can scan for a full refund if I walk out in the first half-hour because the movie is complete crap. Or the sound system is hosed. Or the theatre is populated by talking idiots. Or any of the other myriad reasons people don't like wagering $20 trying to get a little entertainment at a movie these days.
Further, the stuff on my keyboard is probably already on me as I'm the only one using the keyboard. The toilet seat is used by a lot of people. It's their germs that I'd rather not have.
Instead of messing with elevator, my prof used a bit of social psychology. He had mirrors installed next to the elevator on every floor. Apparently, the self-absorbed students and faculty looked at themselves in the mirrors while waiting for the elevator, and lost track of their waiting time. From what I remember, complaints about the slow elevators got reduced to about 1/2.
If he put the mirror on the floor, I bet no one would have complained about the elevator.
I think you misinterpret the prediction. 'They' will be able to detect single molecules (with expensive and limited systems in an appropriate test environment). You and I will not. Which is the worrisome part for some when nanotechnology is mentioned.

Let's see them survive a mortar hit.
GO EARTH!

The Dow vs GOOG Doesn't look particularly similar to me.

Seems a perfect match for Homo sapiens.
100 goats in the President's swimming pool will be so passe now!
Isn't the Treasury Dept in DC? Let's just drop this asteroid off there.
Careful. That "Keyboard: probably infringes on Intel's new patented input device: The Board of Keys.
Good news! I'll let you do whatever the hell you want, but the paycut will be pretty large.

Don't cut that funding! Rocket scientists need Porsches too!

Ah, I see.
Then MS could pay itself the fines!
Ethanol may not be the answer, but it sure helps you forget the question.
I mean right there, a clear typo. I don't know how someone could hit the L O and W keys when the word is best.
Surely you realize that "All" and "Dupes only" would generate the same results?
Obviously your SO knows your /. id.

You'll have to buy a new phone. The whole thing is a plot by Nokia.
