Note to Kim Jong-Il:
It's not how many hackers you have but how good they are. One really skilled hakcker can do a lot of damage if he manages to attack at the right point.
It's like the iPod. The iPod is doomed.
People are just not ready to spend hundreds of dollars for a portable music player when they can just as well listen to the music at home. Or they use their MD-Player or Discman the bought just a few years ago.
From the article: "64 Study Positions - see how the experts do it"
See how the experts do it? Now this is a feature I haven't found in my chess program. What could it be? A stripping queen? Pawn mass gang-bang? The horse... uh...
I'm not sure if I need this function on a portable device.
or are you still riding you bike with training wheels?
I'm usually riding my bike, though without training wheels. Of course I could carry a PS2 or XBox, yet they're heavy and too big for my rucksack. Feels like carrying a VCR. Feels like doing something it was not made for.
OTOH, the GC has a handle and weighs next to nothing. Very bike- and rucksack-friendly.
The reason Sony landed a hit with their Walkman was not that people couldn't carry normal tape recorders.

Consolse exclusive games (may also be on PC)
Now how exclusive is that?
...completely failed to win over the 13 to 30 age group.
Not true.I bought a Gamecube when I was 29. Now I'm 30 so I'm still in this group:-)
And I'm very happy with my little machine. Sometimes I take it with me when I visit friends to play Soulcalibur 2 or F-Zero.
Couldn't do that with the much heavier and bigger PS2 or XBox.
Honestly, I think MS has little to fear of Mozilla & Co.
Don't mod me Troll, I love Firefox, Safari and Opera and use them almost exclusively. Yet when I try to convince my Windows-using friends the reaction is usually "But the included browser (if they know this expression) works fine. I'm used to it." It's incredibly difficult to compete with a program that comes installed with the OS.
I think the population of really internet-savy people, people who care about their browser, is no more than 5-10%. These people can be won. The vast majority will stay with IE.
Spectator mode (C) is an exciting new feature that enables Bill G. and Steve B. to check what you're doing with your XBox.
The attached camera, MS EyeExplorer(C), triggers an early warning system when somebody approaches with a Linux CD or a screw driver. Prepare for the black vans and helicopters to arrive quickly.
Trying to turn off the camera or turning it to the wall is considered a breach of DMCA and a terrorist act. People who have something to hide are a danger to society. Consider yourself lucky if we give you enough time to pack your toothbrush befor shipping you to Guantanmo.
I think the decision of the console makers about which format to use is irrelevant for the success of either Blu-ray or HD-DVD.
Thanks to huge numbers, console makers will get good prices at the drives anyway and games are so expensive that I've never heard that the disk type matters.
I mean, are Gamecube games more expensive because the disks are non-standard (at least I've heard they are)?
I know I want one.
The device looks cool and I'm sure Nintendo will offer a range of fresh new games (something I don't expect from PSP, that has the only ambition to be a portable PS2).
That's right. But the tricky part is, both Freiburg and Freiberg actually exist.
Freiburg is a town in southwest Germany near the French border while Freiberg is in Eastern Germany, near Dresden.
and they both have universities (check it out: www.uni-freiberg.de)

#sarcasm# Hey, maybe only a really small number of black people are reading this, so let's call it NIGR! #/sarcasm#
Honestly, what you said is very stupid. I'm not a fan of PC, but the argument "maybe they'll never know it" is wrong. Have you heard the term World Wide Web?
Yes, nowadays on there seem to be a great many of sequels on any platform. Sequels are a sure seller. The movie industry loves sequels, book authors do and let's not talk about TV.
Yet I think Nintendo is one of the most likely places to find real new ideas. They can be hidden in a big franchise like Mario, or they can come as new titles like Pikmin.
I don't think he 2nd screem will share the fate of other little-supportef. litt 0gadgets, as it comes standard all devices, and gma companies will wonder if a spinning logo there will satisfy the customer.

Actually, Nintendo is one of the few gaming companies where you can expect original ideas. The whole device is a nice new idea (more original than "play PS2 games everywhere", isn't it?)
Not mac os, not linux, not windows.
Apple bought the iPod's operating system from Pixo, a small company, that meanwhile has been acquired by Sun (try www.pixo.com).
It seems to be a proprietary OS.

When playing with my console (GCN, btw), I'm sitting or lying on the sofa. Sometimes on the floor.
I don't know where I could put a keyboard or mouse.

I really look like Lara Croft.
"Yoshi's Touch & Go"?
If you touch my Yoshi and go I will tell my older brother and he'll beat you up!
It can't be any worse than an "American Pie" type movie
Shhh... don't say the name so loud. It won't be cheap, but I know somebody who can get you this kind of stuff...

You deliberately limit the possibility of a funny-moderated comment.
Now I want to have a Beowolf cluster of these...
You're new here, aren't you?
Male virgin geeks like, um, a friend of mine.

How to choose and make nobody angry...?
The geeks really HAVE inherited the earth.
No. The government make these to keep us in our rooms. After this comes the 15 DVD set of LOTR, then...
