Not if it changes the economic to a great degree. Not only that but what if I can't find your company in the first place, let us say that I search Google for custom manufacturing and I only find places in Japan, the US, and India, but not China. Big problem. The government in China must ride the Tiger, if they stop it will attack them...
Interesting, the two games I play the most right now are CoH and Half-Life 2 both of which don't require the CD to be in the drive, the both have server side DRM I am sure but it is much more convient for me then having to find the CD...

Actually I am running a GeForce 6600 GT on my nForce 2 board (an Albatron) and it looks great running City of Heroes. I get some frame rates (30+) and I have all of the effects and detail maxed out. Also I reccomend 256MB of memory, if you think about it with PCIe you get more memory bandwidth but once the texture or vertex data is loaded on the card the memory bandwidth between the system and the card doesn't matter anymore...
Champions or TORG would be the best by for a MMO IMHO. And yes a play City of Heroes/Villians and love it just would like to geek out even more on character creation.
And of course the rest of the media wants this reinforced as it is much better for mental health to watch TV programs such as CSI as oppossed to playing violent video games.
Olympic Rings is a bigger joke and a better story. Don't blog about your own compition in amature sports? Insane! Of course it doesn't of the "Hate Bush" appeal of the above story... And other than the "The Onion" angle where is the new for nerds?
I left City of Heroes for WoW but now I am back and it CoH is better than when I left. They keep adding things to the game to keep it fresh and it has that feel that the people who are creating the game and love the game are in charge not some suits...
Yes one solution is ratings and reccomendation engines. If you listen a great indie podcast or play a great indie (or low-budget) game then there needs to be a way to rate it 5-star so that other people check it out.
I always liked the basic WinZip. It had all of the funtionality you needed. For some reason utilities lose there way as they add on more and more features. As long as there is a classic mode it will still be a great program. Yes this is an add, but WinZip is a classic PC program.
. That being the case, are they not also pirating material during their download process? Are you breaking and entering when you go into you own house? That is not to say that certain tactics used to catch uploaders may be illegal, but just downloading material you own would not be. But that might be what you are doing as well, downloading what you own, perhaps that is another reason to go after uploaders.
Washington and California, unlike the pot smoking cancer patients, this actually sounds like interstate commerce and should be a federal issue. Time for a federal write to work law?

DirectX 10 appears to be available exclusively on Vista. At least the preview in the December 2005 Direct X SDK samples make it seem this way.
