Man, it makes so much since that you are my foe...your whole worldview is skewed and annoying (good thing I am not a cop, according you I would throw you in jail). You have such a whiny, victimized mentality. "Oh, all our laws and freedoms are taken away from us. It is so had to be a man, women get away with murder! And if I do anything to take back my rights from those awful vagina wearing creatures the law comes down on me because I am annoying!" Sad thing is, people like you don't have actually any first hand knowledge, you just read some articles and go to sites like Slashdot where you can circlejerk your point of view of how cops and women are evil. With so many people agreeing, you don't really get a realistic perspective of the world. For every outrageous article you read, there are thousands of instances where the laws are applied correctly and justly. That just doesn't make the news because it isn't interesting. Your lizard brain can't process that so all you ever know is fear.
I will never understand how profitable the game company is actually matters to any individual gamer. Like just because it is more profitable I should somehow like it better. The Wii was cute but aimed at non-gamers and was a miss when it came to people like me. I like the traditional controller much better. I like RPGs. I like the type of games that a regular controller allows more than the Wii-mote. I am not saying that Nintendo is foolish...ultimately it depends on the games. The first party titles are good, but have given up on innovation...people make fun of Final Fantasy XXX yet for some reason don't bash the millions Mario or Zelda title.
I don't really think you know what you are talking about. You can't talk about WoW players in such general terms like that. Expansions always see a jump of people because there are people like me who like to play the "single player" portion up through group dungeons but don't feel like putting time in to doing raids. Cataclysm was well done and very enjoyable. But it is an old game now and despite the improvements, its engine is getting dated and showing its limitations. Nothing is going to last forever. Blizzard always impressed me with what new things they did every time I came back. I had to learn a whole new game since it changes so much.
And content isn't just released with major expansions, new dungeons count out every month. People have been playing the game for years now...it isn't surprising that people eventually are going to move on. This isn't due to a problem with Blizzard...they are just as good as ever. They have a new MMO on the way. If anything stands to be a WoW killer, it's going to be made by them. WoW still is the most polished MMO out there (despite the graphics being dated). It has nothing to do with your "not thinking outside the box. garbage. If thinking outside the box was so important, some other game would have risen up and stomped WoW. So many people would love to leave WoW for something better, but no one yet has done it as well.
10 gold is actually a fair amount. You can't use the AH, so you are just going to be buying vendor stuff which isn't very interesting. They do this so they don't collapse the economy due to gold farmer abuse.
I don't really agree with you. They do this for a very good reason (as others have already messaged...spammers/gold famers-sellers). You know there is going to be a lot of people there. You know there will be social interaction and an auction house, economy, etc. This gives you a feel of what the game is like and if you will enjoy it. If you like that part, then you will enjoy the game because it isn't all that hard to find a guild and people to hang out with once you decide to buy it.
They don't need to hijack a plane to cause fear and economic turmoil. Just blow one up. So security makes sense (not necessarily what we have, but some security). And really, you need to call the person a pussy? You are pathetic.
No, it isn't. Giving kids the tools to hack and break in places is what is in question. There are plenty of ways you as a parent can teach your kids to think critically in an environment that is open to questions. I seriously have to question the parenting ability of parents if they would stick their kids in this class without seeing what it actually teaches. Do you really want that knock on the door in the middle of the night to raid your house for computers because you think this is the best way to teach critical thinking?
Shouldn't you actually see what values they teach before shoving your impressionable daughter in the class? There is a difference between teaching how to watch out for social engineering and how to do illegal activity. Plenty of ways to teach critical thinking and avoiding con men without teaching them lockpicking or hacking.
Holy smokes. Generalize much? Slashdot needs to get over this paranoid mentality. You guys read some article about something bad happening and all act like it happened to you...every day...for the past 10 years.
Logic fail. Just because the Wii lacks one feature and sells better doesn't prove that people don't want that feature. The Wii was the most affordable and it had a catchy new controller that appealed to non-gamers. If they allowed it to play movies it may have sold even better.
And that has nothing to do with whether or not to choose to buy a console from them or not. I don't understand how this is an argument in favor of Nintendo. They are so much more profitable! Well, great, glad they are ripping you off more than other console makers, but that doesn't mean anything as far as it having games that I want to play.
I think a lot of it was due to how cheap they were able to keep the Wii. This time it seems like it will be more expensive. This might be another Gamecube for Nintendo. This controller seems like it would appeal more go a hardcore gamer than a casual.
But it is a false claim and as Apple gains market share and attention, so will it gain attention from the hacker community. Now you have the highest concentration of uneducated users all thinking they are safe and secure. Sure, great for marketing, but short sighted.
Ugh, you are so wrong in a million ways. The Starcraft 2 missions are a million times better than the first Starcraft. Each mission is unique instead of you just building a base and then trying to grow and destroy another base. The ability to choose your mission to get your favorite units earlier or later is great. The fact that you can choose upgrades to fit your play style is brilliant. Battle.net is a million times better and I have never had an issue other than something on my side going down. The story is not good vs evil. Did you not play the Zeratul missions? Did you not get at first you were out to destroy but then were meant to save since they are going to be your only chance of survival? The zerg wanted to destroy everything in the first starcraft....there was no good there. You get just as many missions with WoL as you did with the original SC...I just don't get it. SC2 is my #1 game of all time...it is like you didn't even play it.
Sounds like you were the shortsighted one. Why get a trial when you won't have a chance to play it? Why be angry about them following the terms of the agreement? You sound like a spoiled child.
What gaming machines are just used for games anymore? If you care about high-performance gaming, you don't care about Apple. Apple can sell anything for any price and people will buy it.
And burying someone in the ground provides proof that they are dead how? Do you exhume the body every time you want to check? No...you take pictures and DNA samples and you confirm it was who you thought it was and dispose of the body. The birthers in this country are too dumb to accept any evidence...no need to prove anything to them because they wouldn't believe it if they got to touch the body.
You are joking. We would hold a trial and then kill him. In the mean time, he would be able to put out messages...and him being captured would inspire anger. This would go on for months and then we would kill him and he would be a martyr anyways. This way it is just over and done with.

Considering it would take a hell of a long time to code this, I guarantee it has nothing to do with TF2.

Or it acts as a good enough deterrent that it has prevented attacks from occurring. Also, you don't know if they take someone quietly in to custody.

There is no way to do PC rentals...it is a whole different model. It isn't ignoring it...it just doesn't make sense.

It's a perk for those who pre-order. I am sure after it is released they will let the general public at it. I don't see the big problem.
Sounds like you were the shortsighted one. Why get a trial when you won't have a chance to play it? Why be angry about them following the terms of the agreement? You sound like a spoiled child.
Project much?
No, the Eve community is quite small.

Has your life significantly altered? Mine hasn't. Sure, travelling is a little more painful but it hasn't change my values or my way of life.
