No one in their right mind goes with a.0 release, especially not in a "production" environment.;-)
Before you pick up the flamethrower, I want you to know that I've been using Mozilla since the early.9s and am using the latest non-daily build to post this.
You have to register with them and they SEND YOU A CD. You can't download updates like a normal company would allow you to. Can anyone explain that? What are we gonna do - download the programs and run them on a system without their graphics card?
I have an Radeon AIW myself, and I had a bunch of problems getting it to record and then play back the file it just wrote (it would say it's a bad file). That's unforgiveable. My machine runs Win2k, which I have otherwise had no problems with.
I seem to recall that shortly after MSNBC went on the air, they had to drop the IIS servers and replace them with DEC boxes because the servers couldn't handle the load.
However, by inputting nonsense and cluttering up "Steve's mailbox" with ninformation will make them see how useless the collection of supposedly useful information is.
They're avoiding that matter entirely and jumping ahead to agree on the "next" format. Rather than quibble, the newer one will override the need to fret over the lower density format. It looks like the major players did something right for a change and chose to cooperate. I'll believe it when I see it.
Where's HP in all this? Weren't they making their own stuff, or were they using someone else's?
Yeah, the press release says licensing begins in the spring, but when will we actually see product? No mention of this is made. Good thing I read this today - I was just about to upgrade my early-2nd generation home player, and I'm wondering if I should put that off for 6 months, or not.
Also, will it be backwards compatible? Again, no mention in the press release.
When can we say "They've gone to PLAID!"??
Hopefully NOT made by Intel, no matter what the stupid blue aliens like...
I keep thinking that Discovery, Endeavour, and the lot are getting upgraded processors.
How old are the main computers in the space shuttles, anyways? 25 years?
....that was smarter than the main system (didn't it have a 6512 or something instead of the C64's 6510 CPU?)
Likewise, it took me no time at all.
The whole dance routine with MJ singing "Annie are you OK" (aka Smooth Sith Lord").
I almost wretched right there in the theater!

No, here's what it is (including the edited part):
"Meesa called JarJ-AIEEEEE!!!!!" (light saber sounds). Mace Windu shouts "Shut the FUCK up!!"
You tell 'em, Buck.
'cept a neck and some tendons! My favorite cartoon line ever!
Different in a bunch of ways, but basically the same - bickering servants instead of droids, no "force", and so on...
The Salon article did not even bother to mention this movie! I guess that's because it wasn't SciFi, and didn't owe anything to anybody.

Looks like then went back to IIS, though.
Some spew emitted from RMS, collected by someone else....
Why should we pay for it?
Do you also have Netscape installed? I had the same problem, and I think the installer for JHVH is getting confused...
Monkey boy took over for billybob because they knew he'd have to speak in court for more than just depositions.
They knew they'd be sunk if billybob opened his mouth in an interactive forum.

Great fun, cool look and good music.
No one seems to have it.
and you'll never see 'em coming.

You think he could love someone who's NOT a Slashdot reader?
You don't run anything on your firewall that would allow anyone access to it except via the console (for reboots, etc).
Isn't that the whole idea behind a firewall in the first place? A box that doesn't run anything besides what's necessary to allow access through it?
Excuse me, but DUH?
You...wantsomemore?
You...wantsomemore?
You...wantsomemore?
(I feel like putting in a LeelooDallasMultipass jokes in here, but I'm not feeling particularly funny).
Much Cheaper than $0? That's how much they paid for the Plexiglass!
Scotty gave them the molecule for Transparent Aluminum in exchange for the stuff.
Not Now, Madeline!
the default compiler (2.96) is eeeeevil and I really haven't had the time to install 3.02...
