There is no Playstation or Xbox game which made me feel the way I did when playing Zelda: WW or Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and Star Fox....the point is that nintendo focuses on quality rather than quantity, "fun-factor" rather than graphics....somthing that Sony and Microsoft games sorely lack...when is the last time you felt as satisfied as satisfied with a game as you did with Zelda: Ocarina of Time?
Holy shit! My Excel works fine...but my Powerpoint just crashes! Could this be Apple trying to push keynote to the forefront by eliminating the competition?
I am serious about Excel working and Powerpoint crashing though...
It all comes down to teh games...even though I don't own a Gamecube (and I don't plan to buy one, since a new 'product' is coming out soon), I have seen that the games for Gamecube are of a much better quality than games for Xbox. Just to name a few, F-Zero GX, Super Smash Brothers GX, Zelda: WW, Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, and many more to come...I like the fact that Nintendo tries to keep to a tried and true gameplay in their games and even when they innovate (Pikman), it usually turns out to be a great thing. For me, Nintendo will always be the Apple of the console video game market...
I don't understand the rationale behind this man's thinking...nearly all current articles and news is available for free online...and who cares about old magazines/newspapers? Sure, I keep my old National Geographic's and Popular Science, but I would not pay for virtual copies of then which will be riddled with DRM, which I won't be able to copy or place on DVD-R for archival (probably)... Case in point: I find an intresting article in Scientific American which I decide to share with my friend...I simply give the magazine to my friend (let him borrow if for a few days), how would I be able to do that legally and without breaking the EULA that is no doubt going to be bound to this service. Sure, I have not seen the EULA yet, but I am sure (100% sure!) that I won't be able to let my friend borrow it...
You should have asked a friend who had GTA (it was a huge seller, so somone you know should have had it), and if you did know someone who did, you could have asked to play it for a bit...
Thats why you figure out if the game is worth your $50 by reading online reviews, talking to your friends and looking at how well done the cover of the game is (the better the back of the packaging looks, the worse the game usually is)...
I bought the Final Fantasy X game guide for the nice artwork that was fused into the guide. Sure, I could have ordered an artbook from an import web site...but I liked the fact that I could preview the whole guide and see if the art was truly good...
I would have prefered a separate art book though, such as "The Art of Final Fantasy IX"...
I wonder how they are going to do this...are they gonna licence expensive database software like Oracle or go for a cheaper open source solution...wait a sec...its a school....I bet they are gonna licence 2000 copies of Microsoft Office Data Analyzer...
Thank god I live in nearby Sugar Land and go to FBISD...not that they are any better....but at least they don't have databases keeping track of everyone....
or do they....?
UMD= Universal Media Disc
I dont want it to be a replacement for flopies because of the built in copy protection scheme...CDs/DVDs are the future...this format will simply be used for the PSP, I don't see it making much headway into the computer market...
Its gonna use disks approx. the size of the current Mini-Discs that Sony sells...if the device is a little bigger than the current mini-disc players, I would buy it...
I think it will be around as big as a last generation MD player (such as the MZ-R50)...
Where would everyone be if they were PUNISHED for EVERY CRIME they EVER committed.....
Where would members of the RIAA be if they were punished for every crime they every committed? Politicians? The President? You?
Citing the numeric Internet addresses of music downloaders, the RIAA has said it can only track users by comparing those addresses against subscriber records held by Internet providers. But the AP used those addresses and other details culled from subpoenas and was able to locate some Internet users who are among the music industry's earliest targets.
Pate was wavering whether to call the RIAA to negotiate a settlement. "Should I call a lawyer?" he wondered.
The RIAA's president was not sure what advice to offer because he never imagined downloaders could be identified until Internet providers turned over subscriber records, as the federal Digital Millennium Copyright Act requires them to do.
"It's not a scenario we had truthfully envisaged," Sherman said. "If somebody wants to settle before a lawsuit is filed it would be fine to call us, but it's really not clear how we're going to perceive this."

The RIAA doesn't even know what its going to do yet...

Its full steam ahead for apple!
.5 of a second; but it really depends on the cacheing situation, your connection, the site, and if there are java applets or not....
Complex code can also slow it down a little (very little)...
Yep, its a great system! I love the way that I don't have to rely on anybody's system configuration for my documents and information. Just pop in the disc and off I go!

By "all the bugs" I mean most of the big bugs...cause there seem to be some major bugs surrounding this update....
You would think that after a few months of beta testing this update they would have caught all the bugs.....
Palm OS 5 is very unstable...and besides, Sony doesn't like paying royalties, they will either make a new OS or use a Linux based platform...
