got pissed at how fudgely enter the matrix turned out and pushed for this move to make sure that matrix online turns out okay...and maybe to get atari back for their disregard for quality while making enter the matrix...the bros seem like the driving force in WB at the moment...even though they have lost their touch with the last two movies (*awaits flames*)
Can't wait till the Plasticman comes out...hopefully they will go back to their formula that they used for the original matrix instead of letting CG take center stage...
They should include a feature with the upcoming hard drive to download video and pictures to the Hdd unit. I saw a couple of pics of it being done on the Jap PS2 w/ BBNet...
It does have component video out...it uses a toshiba type connector though... see this pic http://image.lik-sang.com/content/psx-news/psx-new s7.jpg (4th port from the left counting the covered network port)
And it has a big hard drive too...and a network port...think of the possibilities...
Divx/OGG from LAN...games from LAN...DVD ripping to HD....streaming video via VLC type app etc...
It is totally obvious...but what concerns me is why it keeps coming up...I've been hearing this PS2 missile tech theory for years, and its absolute BS...yet someone keeps pushing it trying to explain everything relating to console economics...
Although they have been shot with a camera, its certainly better than some screenshots

Here's advent children http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~nanko/movies/ff7ac-jf. wmv
and finally, Dragon Quest V (PS2)... http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~nanko/movies/dq5-jf.wm v
Yep, Apple could start using the same or similar excuse for not launching their products in the Congo...I think the main issue is that the Chinese market will just be another drain on Sony...I doubt that they can make profits in such a piracy ridden market (does Universal, Fox, or WB make a profit in China?)....
If apple can sell the G5 in China, why shouldn't Sony be allowed to sell the PS2? Since its already available nearly everywhere else in the world, why not make it avaliable to china? I am sure that if there was a military application to this it would have already been found + I doubt that the Chinese military is stupid enough to rely on a console to power their military equipment...
may not really make it to the final product...remember when Sony announced the PS2? They claimed progressive scan support....and that has finally been delivered...a few years after the original machine was launched...
take the PSX for example, no MP3 support and other crippled specs make it to the final machine under the guise that they will be added later through a firmware update...same thing they said for the PS2 (progressive scan support via new firmware), yet now Sony wants you to buy a whole new PS2 (Model 5000)....
I won't beleive the Sony's specs till I see the final product...this may just be marketspeak for PocketStation 2...
LCD Rear Project TV's dont have any burn in problems and have a much brighter picture than DLP TV, the only downside is that their blacks are not as true as DLP TV. I have a Sony KF50WE610 and am very happy with it, I don't think the black performence is as bad as reviewers make it out to be and it looks a whole lot brighter than the Samsung DLP I was considering....
a VLC client for Palm OS 5...by the way, do you think this will work with a Memory Stick enabled TV? I doubt it since the TV runs an internal OS, but it would be very nice to hack that firmware and make a VLC like player built in to the TV.......nevermind. I'm dreaming again....
to the US...I would love to get my hand on a copy! Can anyone who has one scan it in high-res...I know that the author of that web site says that its too big, but can't a person scan bits and pieces and photoshop it into one big picture?

the amway of the digital age...

That would include DVD+R/RW and MP3 support...
SaGa Frontier 2 wasn't a gem either, it had a totally pointless Knights storyline and a fairly drab story...
Looks like they've been dotted...

Did you remove the space betwen the wm and v?

Miyamoto's Pong could turn out to be a lot more fun that HL2 and Halo 2 combined...

Actually, FFXI is a great MMORPG...it has things for you to do other than level...
in the next Lufia game! Then it would have random dungeons and random music!
Watch Ghost in the Shell and the upcoming GITS: Innocence...
Thats the same excuse that Sony had when the shipped the Original Model PS2 without Progressive Scan support...
