I think the best part of this whole thing is that it runs off hydrogen fuel cells. This may be kind of like nasa in the past few years, its not so much IT, but what the technology we get from it. With nasa, we got velcro, maybe this will improve the use of hydrogen fuel cells. Its wishful thinking
If it were to be the beginning of the end for flash/macromedia, they would HAVE to make sparkle compatible with previous versions of IE. Since most people STILL are using windows 98, they won't have the cutting edge IE, and there is less of a chance that they would upgrade to a new IE. thus, sparkle would have to work w/older versions of IE. ofcourse, in the end its up to the web developer, and since everyone caters to the masses (IE) it seems like it may be some time before this actually does 'kill' flash.
A class that defends the GPL! IBM (i think) would like to see the GPL is enforced, I'm sure you would, and ofcourse RMS would. I haven't done any development on anything, but I would atleast donate some money to a class action suit to cover lawyer fees.
It's amazing really. Have you ever opened a marine biology book or anything, and see just how many types of fish are already in there, and they all have names, been disected, etc? I would've thought this has already been done, no more than just a 'few' species left to discover on earth. I guess w/new technology we can go deeper further, etc?
dont forget if you are going to order one of these, to get your student discount!
it takes the $1099 12inch ibook down to $949. Hey thats 1/2 an ipod!:)
uh, we've had rhythmbox for quite some time now. its still not a 1.0 release, but we all know that a 1.0 in OSS is MUCH different than an M$ or most other commercial 1.0 releases.

Wow, they're have already been worms this month???
Maybe I'll be last, and won't get sued because there will be no one to share with. Or maybe they'll go after all the people who listen to good music first, then the p2p networks will cripple, having only Dick Cheese on their network!
Yeah, that is a REAL useful feature, especially since clicking on an email (required to delete it) opens up the email, and would load any images.
There aught to be a 'load images' button up there somewhere. (per email, not always, because i know of the option in the prefs, i use thunderbird so i can view html, images, etc. if i wanted a powerful plain text mail client, i'd go back to mutt)
Been using it for about a month now, and have yet to have any problems, even then themes work fine on it! I don't check/open my mail all the time, so together with firebird, I get fast and reliable browsing, email, and yes, thunderbird even has a newsgroup reader, also flawless!:)
And i think, for a lot of people, it integrates with netscape mail, would be nice if you could do that with hotmail, or yahoo mail...
god, i hope IE developers didnt see that
to that I have to say...
If puns were deli meat, this would be the wurst!
LOL!
