I think you've confused Apple and AT&T. This is an obvious sign that the new iPhone won't be AT&T exclusive. AT&T is trying to get a last minuet surge by allowing people that sign up by June 7th to get the old rates. When the new phone is announced AT&T's iPhone business will take a major hit
But by allowing vendors to say "We don't need to write a proper Linux driver, we can just use NDIS Wrapper" doesn't help: a) Motivate HW Vendors to publish documentation needed to write a stable, well performing Linux driver b) Motivate HW Vendors to produce and maintain a proper Linux driver.
The reason kernel developers probably aren't supporting your card very well isn't because they are lazy, more likely they just don't have access to the required specs to support it properly.
The real solution is to buy hardware from companies that support open source. (Disclaimer: I work for a company that has specific groups that do nothing but maintain kernel drivers and board support for our chips)
Hasn't unix done this for quite a while (decades) with the sticky but? Or did that just appply to programs? Ha! Sticky but! That just made my morning. Thanks:)
Have you looked in the BSPs provided by Freescale for SEC block support?
See http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?nodeId=0127260061033202A5
I know the patches exist to add Linux support, they just aren't part of the mainline kernel tree.
Freescale is pretty good about Linux drivers for devices, a lot of embedded projects use Linux and Freescale sells a lot of chips to those projects.

Don't forget that they also got a wider distribution to more cable/satellite operators. Of course, now that they've effectively killed off all the TechTV shows, I suspect many subscribers will be dropping the channel.
I'd opt out myself, but since I'm in Canada, at least I still get Call For Help
But remember, you don't pay capital gains tax when selling your house in Canada, you do in the US. I prefer the Canadian system (I expect to make more profit on my house than I'll pay in intrest on the mortage)
They would be hot swappable blade type cards. It would take about 2 seconds to pull them out, no screws needed.
Does anyone know which manufactures equipment it was? The cards should be easy to identify if they turn up. Most major manufactures keep very detailed records of serial numbers.
Remember who Brain Robertson represents; record labels. As a result he does not care about the musicians; he is more concerned about staff layoffs.
Somehow I doubt that this service will help anyone who has been layed off from a record store. That buisness model is obviously failing and it is unlikely to be revived

This happened 2 months ago, really slashdot editors? It's sad when a dead tree newspaper has more current info

Umm, http://ec-gc.ca/ is working for me.....
None of these are as good as this one: http://www.dvorak.org/blog/html/terms.html
Good thing I'm running Slackware!
Sadly, jPod has already been canceled.

But wouldn't revealing that violate attorney/client privilege?

Are you sure you aren't just in group therapy?

Yeah, that'll work, because we all know security through obscurity is the best solution.
The fact is, anyone who was going to pirate knows where to find it.

I'd watch a show showing a shark killing an interior decorator
The torrent isn't causing much of a hit on the machine the tracker is running on... I'm posting this message from it!
This DB does rock. It's small, reliable, simple to learn. Recommended if you need a simple key/value storage system
Ummm, how about it's illegal? At least, the binary is 'cause it's built with pirated versions of the Xbox dev kit...
I doubt Microsoft cares as much about Linux as the rampant piracy of the Xbox games
I say we bombard them with e-mail, demanding a patch ASAP!
Yeah... My microwave belts out noise at 2.4 GHz as well...
