I agree, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was just awesome. If the next Tomb Raider could learn a few lessons from that game, then that would be good. Although I would want the crazy jumping-around stuff to be harder, more difficult puzzles (maybe throwe in some optional brain-nukers) and slightly less combat.
Yes, very funny! You don't know how good you have it having no intermissions. In my country, the stupid stupid theaters always have intermissions on every movie! Even if it's only 90 minutes long! It's stupid, wrong and annoying. Gaaaaaahhhhhhhhh..../rant
I disagree with that. I for one think the world would be a better place without bootlegging. Why? Because the quality is so bad, they are really useless. As far as I'm concerned the only 'purpose' of those videos is to feed the bootleggers' enormus ego ("haha, my version got on the internet first, I'm 1337!").
I want all my movies in close to DVD-rip quality thank you very much.
Between not having them jab a spike into your balls, and making the jerk who wants to do that feel like he's bad at torture, you go with making the guy feel bad.
Okay, next time I get tortured, I'll give them your name.
How many non-geeks do you think are interested in this website in the first place? It's not that we're unable to view them. It's that shockwave is freaking annoying. What if you want to download something? Oh, you can't just get a simple link you have to click on a "shockwave" link and if you're lucky, it might work (usually only if you're using IE)
Also, shockwave sites can take years to load. (not to even mention when it's being slashdotted)
Shockwave, flash and all that stuff is crap and it must die. It's okay for a few things, but WHOLE PAGES IS NOT ONE OF THEM!! Argghhh!!!!
Aaah, now I feel better....
Yeah, and I would like to mention the worst case of this ever. Diablo 2. Those newer, DVD-like cases had the CD-key right in front, visible trough the plastic! One would only need a reasonably good digital gamera, go to the store and take a picture of the Diablo 2 rack. There, instant 20+ legit keys! What were they thinking?
Damnit, why the hell do I insist on not using the preview feature. Let me try again.
For those who would like to download files instead of streaming them (so everyone with half a brain), here are some URLs.
Part 1: mms://video.pbs.org/general/windows/media4/frontli ne/2214/windows/ch1_hi.wmv
I guess for the other parts just increment the last number in the URL above. You can't download this file using normal means however since it's using Microsoft's proprietary streaming protocol. However, I found this program for Windows (I'm sure there's a Linux way but I'm not looking), which seems to work: http://sdp.ppona.com/

Metroid Prime did it right. Yes, it has loading times, but they're all hidden in those sequences. Like the elevator sequence, and when doors don't open right away. You wouldn't like it if the game would halt the gameplay and present a large "LOADING - PLEASE WAIT" box all over the screen, would you?
I think the idea of "power armor" means that the suit powers itself, ie it helps you move, so in effect it feels very light, and actually would help you make high jumps and stuff.
I agree, I have been finding myself playing old SNES and NES games on emulators for a while now. It seems like the more power the developers have, the more realistic the games become and less entertaining.
One game I enjoyed a lot was Serious Sam. I just played it again a few weeks ago and it kicked an enormus amount of ass. Why? Because the developers just threw all realism out the window and went for pure entertainment. That is what makes a good game.

Then you can use spamhole or spamgourmet and set it to some mailinator address!

I agree.
This comic explains precisely how I feel about Counter-strike.

Could you please try a little harder next time? Thanks.
While Outlooks ubiquity might exacerbate ...
I'm sorry, what???
Ever read "I don't have a computer, you insensitive clod!"? It is essentially the same thing.

It won't happen because then they would get less money. Sorry.

What's poutine?
Heh, they wouldn't even have to do much. Just re-render the movie without womens' clothing. :)
link is a goatse thing
The gambling bit would have to be replaced by "it's a secret to everybody"-hunting.
In Warcraft 3, one of the Night Elf units says "For the end of the world spell, press CTRL-ALT-DELETE". Does that count?

Four more years, be patient.

Do you realize what you just posted?

I want to enable this to use blinkenlights, then play Space Invaders on this!
