    Yeah same thing happened to me, I get the Sunday times and got a new Credit card number and figure they canceled me when my auto bill didn't work. Too bad I was hopping for 50% off. ;(

    Correction the rig was owned by TransOcean who was contracted by BP to do the drilling and most of the employees on the rig were TransOcean employees

    BP didn't make the workers sign anything it was Transocean the owner of the Rig. http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/05/oil_spill_company_to_workers_sign_on_the_dotted_li.php BP only had few employees on the rig and the vast majority where Transocean employees. Additionally BP also hasn't actually released any numbers on spillage since right at the beginning. BP's position is that we don't know how much oil was leaking. It was the Coast Guard who as been changing estimates based upon the Government's flow rate committee.

    I like this approach and how you present your XSDs on the website. I have worked on a standard for health and human services data, but even with the standards some vendors just send empty strings instead of attempting actually transform their data to the standards. Thus leading to valid but less than useful XML. I know we could tighten down the XSD, but then we don't get enough vendor participation. Its a sticky thing to balance.

    Well I work for a public institution and I get 18 days off a year after 2 years of service plus I get the normal days off for MLK day, labor day, July 4th, memorial day, 2 days at thanksgiving and I get the entire week off between Christmas and new-years because the university shuts down. University of Nebraska For a total of 30 paid vacation days a year

    That would be because most people who are allergic to cats are actually allergic to cat saliva and because cats clean themselves by licking, their dander causes allergies by proxy.

    I don't know about you guys, but I think that this is definitely one of the most "interesting" gamers of 2005. Today's local Lincoln, NE newspaper had a front-page story about Brice Mellen, blind from birth, but will kick your ass at Mortal Kombat.

    normally I would agree with you, but we are forgetting that most people in a time of crisis are not rational and and want something way more, especially if the prices is increasing, so instead of prices reaching an equlibrum we get a funny feedback loop where demand and price contiue to rise. Look at atalanta 5-6 bucks a gallon for gas and the lines are just getting longer as the price climbs. I love the free market but it's not a religion.

    Seriously though how hard is it to get caught using newsgroups, I assume that while the quantity of people using news groups is considerably less than the number of people using p2p services so that is probably the main reason, but does anyone know how hard it would be to figure out who is downloading what? Wouldn't your ISP have to actively snitch one you? Sounds like a good way to waste company resources and piss off your customers.

    It makes perfect sense, unless your church is still using the Julian calendar. Eastern Orthodox. Then your Easter is often a month early. We aren't changing to a new calendar if we all can't use the current one.

    it will work against satellite radio if they are using an FM modulator to broadcast the signal from the satellite decoder to their car radio because they didn't by a new satellite compatible deck, or they have a factory wired system that is too much of a bitch to rewire/replace.

    Not to sound like a troll, but modding my dishwasher sounds like a pretty cool idea. Too bad my landlord would kill me :-( That would be sweet to see what's going on when I clean my dishes. Modding is all about being different and having fun when you do it. Since it doesn't hurt anyone, what's the problem? I say if it's fun to do go for it.

    You can modify a pioneer set of "keys" to get it out. They are about 3 inches long and about 1/16th of an inch wide by 1/4 inch high. They depress a clip on each side of the radio, you can then pull it out. My friend that does car stereo installs showed me how to do this this. But if you have the factory amp you screwed unless you want to rewire the whole car.

    I switched back. While I like itunes on my powerbook, MM functioned much better on my widows box, mainly because I don't like the default way that itunes organizes my music. I also didn't like how itunes decided to break my music match ipod connectivity when I installed it.

    any body else notice how ironic it is that you only see these ads when you have already paid to see the movie. Seems pretty inefectual to tell the paying public not to pirate when they are already not doing that.
