Now that I'm looking, there's a website devoted to gay comic characters. I don't why I'm suprised this information was already collected; it is the Internet, after all.

Similar things exist, though they get their signal from a remote clock using GPS or NIST radio.
Take a look at this for example.
I swear I've seen PCI cards that do the same as this box, but I can't find one online just now.
Yeah, same here. My previously mentioned card is a PNY? GF4Ti4200 bought at Wal-Mart when they were a new thing. The resolutions work but naturally look funny on my 4:3 displays.
However, the story of the game (Half-Life 1) is suspiciously similar to that of Doom 1 (demonic army overrunning government/commercial research facility). I hoped for some more fantasy on Valve's behalf.
Seriously, a dimensional rift or gateway to hell has been the plot to so many games and other sci-fi it isn't really fair to cite plaigarism. At least not when they're all guilty of beating the same dead horse.
I think "Benson" became more popular than "Soap", but I'm glad someone mentioned it.
Also, don't forget "The Kid"* movies which all featured Gary Coleman and Robert Guillaume.
But I tire of this label-slinging! Let us end meaningless talk of left and right (both of which offer us only self-contradictory and idiotic platforms) and dedicate ourselves instead to what is truly liberal: individual liberty, free enterprise, reason, and optimism.
Exactly. The double-speak here is so bad I can't even use the terms correctly in an explanation of the misuse of the terms. Either way, I have no love for socialist or federalist attitudes of either party.
I think the parent was thinking "leftist" not liberal. Probably a byproduct of the screwed up politics here in the US.
The leftist Democrats have branded themselves liberals, and the right-wing Republicans call themselves conservative, though neither party seems interested in reducing government power anymore, so right-wing or liberal doesn't apply to either party.
If Sony wanted to make a stink about it, they probably could, but don't forget that Rockstar would likely have MSFT on there side for this one. I doubt Sony will bother to piss off a star developer over an aging title.
As for the next GTA, I doubt that Rockstar will break from the trend of an exclusive PS2 release for at least the first year. I would really not be surprised if they take this engine out for another run with some new content. Think GTA-LA or GTA-Chicago or whatever. You get the idea. The great thing is that it would still be a great game, and it gets them out of the contract before a genuine GTA4 with a new engine.
Actually, they used to do these mini-comics where Spidey/Peter Parker would deliver a "moral" or safety tip. Usually these were "drugs are bad" or "don't talk to strangers."
One in particular had Peter convincing a child to go to the authorities about a sexual abuser. He told the story of how he was molested by a babysitter as a child. The point he was trying to make was that it wasn't the child's fault that he was molested, and there was no shame in coming forward.
I realize those mini-comics were about as canonical as the Hostess ads, but I always bring this up when comic book discussions turn to how well-adjusted Spidey is compared to Batman. I mean, for crap's sake, Batman just had his parents killed and he's all tortured and broody. Spidey lost his parents, his uncle, his first love, his best friend, his baby, and his own identity with the clone stuff... it goes on and on. The spider bite must have provided him with natural anti-depressants or surely he would have hung himself from a web by now.
Even if the Xbox goes to less than $200, I would go so far as to say that since it supposed to play okay on a Geforce 3, you might get good results from a $99 card this fall. Maybe not with all the eye-candy turned on, but I bet it would give the Xbox version a run for the money.
That's for formal games, which only get played at tournaments and stores that sell their crap. You can do whatever you want in a friendly game, and they encourage it to a point. Just don't show up to US Games Day in Baltimore with your homemade wooden Land Raiders.
Honestly, playing with a group of friends outside of a store is the best way to do wargaming.
Because Button 1 on a Gravis controller is not the same as Button 1 on a Thrustmaster controller, which in turn is not the same as Button 1 on a Sidewinder. On top of that the layout of the buttons may be different.
This means that even on controllers with the same layout you can't always plug in a different brand of controller and expect the game to work the same way. A standardized gamepad layout for DirectInput is long overdue.
It's a bit quirky but definitely functional. If you don't like qmail you may not like this. It shares similar philosophies, both being created by D. J. Bernstein.
The cost of eternal vigilance is lots of bitching. Constant criticism is good for freedom.

Vampire Redemption (from a few years back) used Java as a scripting engine.
Not that it helps, but there was a Nintendo conversion of that Spy vs. Spy game.

Yes, there's at least one club where you can dance, and the dancing is a rhythm game, like Pa Rappa or DDR.

>Unless you are suggesting that Sony sold about 66 million PlayStation units after the PS2 came out?
Not that I disagree you entirely, but I read recently that half of the Playstations sold were sold after the PS2 came out.

The GF4 Ti4200 in my system right now can do 1280x720 and has DVI output.

Thank you.
If they did, the EULA might get thrown out and set a precedent.

I'll second your Master of Magic and X-COM, and add:
-- Master of Orion (1 or 2)
-- Sid Meier's Pirates!
-- Airborne Ranger
-- M.U.L.E.
-- War of the Lance
I could think of a ton more and probably add all the classic 8-bit computer stuff that doesn't absolutely require a keyboard.

(BTW, what alteratives to BIND exist for Linux and *BSD? I actually don't know and would like to know.)
