The battle is set now
The might of a slashdotting vs the awsome power of NASA's servers
who will win?
compulsively refresh their page to find out
You mean like if a car's onboard computer goes nuts and drives off a cliff, 5 people at most die, whereas in a commerical airline, hundreds will be at the mercy of a computer program? I don't think planes have a higher tolerance for error.
The real question bout all those continuity errors is this
Who cares?
its a movie
if you dont like it, dont watch it
but dont pick it apart until you do something better
I've been using it too, but unfortunately it's been crashing sporadically. Sometimes 5 times within an hour, and sometimes it runs for 2-3 days just fine. But it's a hassle to go and reset it each time. The kernel reports nothing leading up to the total lockup.
Finding out if music is good before paying for it is as outrageous as telling your friends about a bad movie, therefore depriving the MPAA of their hard-earned money
oh wait...
so nobody anywhere on earth would know about the internet 10 years later if a(nother) US president without a firm grasp of the english language told us about it?
I got a Radeon 9500 (the variant built on a 9700 PBC) and re-enabled all the disabled features. Instant 9700pro+ after overclocking. Better than a 9600 and cheaper too. hacked drivers @ http://www.ocfaq.com/softmod/download.php of course it doesnt do tv capture
The shift key has been proven to be a tool used in the circumvention of copyright protection. From now on, the shift key can no longer be included on keyboards. Users will have to learn to use the caps lock key. Anyone found in possesion of a keyboard containing a shift key will be prosecuted as a terrorist to the full extent of the law.
But they haven't caught on globally, so who can you really call? Joe two floors down in your building? I'm sure the technology for all (or most) of these items exists, but the problem is getting widespread public approval. Take a moving walkway for instance. The technology obviously exists, but have they been implemented anywhere, really?
What I really need is Xinerama support, so when I play movies on my dual head setup I can choose which monitor to fullscreen the movie on. As it is, it splits it between the two and leaves the outer half of each monitor showing the desktop.
I don't have a paid subscription to the wall street journal you insensitive clod

If only there was a way to get a virus onto a windows computer without people being seen to knowingly install it...
outlook express
if they had thought of this before they started prosecuting everyone in sight, then it would probably have worked a whole lot better
At least they can't re-try him for pirating DVD's if he's stranded somewhere. Maybe this is a good thing for him.

I thought the 640K of RAM one was supposed to be the president of IBM, not Bill GAtes
that may work well for you but i wouldnt reccommend suggesting that strategy to 99% of the users on the internet today
Maybe the reverse is true also, but I can't think of an example.
