You mean like the iPhone SDK? What exactly is it that allows everyone in the world to develop for the iPhone except for MS? How the hell is this insightful?

  2. Re:Seriously... on iTunes DRM-Free Files Contain Personal Info · · Score: 1

How is this remotely insightful? This is REALLY a stretch that someone would go through all of this effort. Not to mention they would have to somehow pick songs that the target had actually purchased from iTunes, or else there would be a clear record that those songs do not belong to them. This is just silly. This whole thread seems to be filled with people trying to come up with obscure circumstances where this could cause someone trouble without doing anything illegal.

Ummm, the most recent update was 2.0.2. Kind of hard to take the rest of the article seriously when it gets the most basic of facts wrong. Not that I doubt the existence of these 3G problem, just tired of reading poorly researched, poorly edited "news" articles. I don't have a 3G iPhone, so this article doesn't really apply to me, but for my Edge iPhone, 2.0.2 seems to have improved a number of issues, particularly the email.

What the original poster is trying to say, and repeatedly getting misunderstood about, is that turning on either FileSharing or Windows Files Sharing shares his entire home directory, including all of his personal files, and any home directory applications, and there is no built-in way to only share particular folders.

I agree with this point, as I wish that I could specify a particular folder to share, but overall, since I am running client software, and use file servers when in an environment of other users, it doesn't bother me too much.

And no serial # is required on any OS X install except for Server, as people have mentioned. You are mistaken or just full of shit to say otherwise.

    First of all, it's Kleenex

Secondly, Podcasts more often than not, do not include video, so vidcast may not be appropriate. Judging by the overwhelming majority that I have experienced, perhaps Crapcast is appropriate. We need more quality such as the ones NPR produces, so I view this as a good thing.

Lastly, I am reasonably sure that Apple did not coin the term Podcast, Adam Curry or someone along those lines did, but I could be mistaken. The iPod dominates the market, so it seems like a good choice, and looks like it is working out.
