    13) They get un frozen and start to do their job of taking out the wraith by killing the food source (humans)

    Does VMWare have anything equivalent to
    VBoxHeadless -s XP?

    I know most people running 3D acceleration will be doing it locally, but with a quad core processor and a hefty Video Card I can do a ton of batch processing in photoshop using RemoteDesktop on a computer with under 1GHz.

    Take a note from the newsgroup file sharers. If it's good enough to share GB+ data on an old school discussion forum, it's good enough for your business.

    1) Split the file into tiny rars, 1-10MB in size.
    2) PAR2 the files with a decent amount of redundancy.
    3) Send. Resume any broken files
    4) Fix.

    If you really wanted to get fancy. Run a news server on each end of the line. Upload files locally to the newsgroup and then grab them from the other end. The pirate community has a ton of tools for making this as painless as possible. (I heart hellanzb)

    Drop the number of cached pages to 0. It'll dramatically drop the amount of RAM FireFox uses.

    Be warned, using the back button or "Undo Close Tab" is going to suck as it'll have to pull everything from network again. (Pair it with a local caching proxy?).

    I just wish they had a 'purge cache' button somewhere easy. Until then I'll just quit and restart.

    My Motorola phone has a standard mini-usb connector but you STILL can't use it with standard charger. Why? "Un authorized charger".

    From what I've pieced together it has a chip in it to fake that it is connected to a computer. This is a double edged sword of uselessness

    1) I can't use my Garmin charger with my phone because it's "un authorized" and won't charge.
    2) I can't use my Motorola charger with my Garmin because Garmin puts itself into PC mode (instead of navigation mode).

    So now I have to carry 2 - 12V -> USB devices with me because of Motorola.

    Trust me, keep an eye out for the buzz words "authentic" "valid" "safe" "genuine".

    I just had my Firefox taken down 5 times in a row the second I opened the link. I get the HTML but once it starts rendering something Firefox 3.0.11 goes kaplut.

    Imagine a world where nothing was illegal, even for a 12 year old. They could follow the home style justice that some parents used to do with cigarettes they found: Make the kid smoke them ALL. One sitting. I know more people who have been stopped from smoking with this tactic than "Hey kids, don't smoke. It's a adult thing"

    Astraweb's deal for $11/month + NZBMatrix/TVNZB and I get stuff maxing out my cable connection.

    They have quite a bit of older stuff. I spent my first day going through NZBMatrix looking through OLD movies, opening the IMDB link and DLing everything over 7. Quite a few comedies from the 30s-70s with 7.9-8s that looked good.

    I live in the country you insensitive clod.

    Every 'block' is exactly 1 mile. We have a 0'th N/S E/W street. Every road is miles*100 from the 0'th and each address is miles*1000. (If you lived on the road 3 miles east of 0th and 4.5 miles north of 0th your address was 4500N 300E BFE Indiana).

    And each square mile is exactly 640 acres. If you had a big family farm you owned 640 acres so you would own from 400E to 500E and from 100N to 200N.

    I work for an engineering company. A BIG one. Sometime back in the 80s, we went all metric. Sure if you look up an old drawing that was scanned in from the 40s, it's in English. But everything new is in Metric. Is there any reason there should be ANY old parts used in the new shuttles? Start from scratch, use metric.
