    yes I believe he has the right to do this for the most part.. It still doesn't stop me from calling him a dumbass for doing it...to release the same program on two different platforms one shareware one GPL seems like a breach of the spirit of OSS

    Thanks for clearing that up Gabe. Quite a few people (including myself) felt that the break-in was a bad excuse for delaying the game. I post to hopefully get more attention to your post

    anyway if I were you I would still buckle down b/c the linux /.ers are going to be flaming soon me thinks

    really Clinton trashed the economy? and I thought I heard something about the budget being balenced...I even heard some talk of a surplus... I do admit that the DMCA signing was bad but Bush IMO has done very little good for his 4 years so I say OUT.

    the thing is no country would want to risk 1) having their animals get infected and 2) harming the population even if it was 1 confirmed case maybe one other slips by and starts to spread it's basicly a quaratine the EU does it the US does it (Canadian beef, some cheeses from europe etc etc.)

    actually it was announced before the video came out. They also didn't seem to want to use 3rd party batteries....why? I dunno... I think that they had a point but where way to sensationalist.

    yes but the game division is the only thing in Sony makeing money. Sony overall is in a bit of trouble because the game industry is all that is propping them up. (not saying they are a bad company just financially thin ice) Nintendo could go back to their old market, the trading card buisness :-P

    dozens upon dozens of help forums talk about it. Whole articles are dedicated the fighting spyware. If a customer is looking for an answer there is no possible way that he could miss many of these articles.

    I liked outland and it was not as popular but it was very popular when he decided to pack his bags. He wanted to make it something different but ended up making another incarnation of Bloom County to an extent. He didn't really like that since he was going for something different. This time he isn't going for something different but a variation it seems on Bloom County so he might be here to stay for a while

    The really sad part about all of this is that developers will be less motivated to be really inventive on the job - saving their best ideas for themselves. They will see no benefit to going above and beyond because there is no tangible reward for doing so.
    dude, you do know if you make some wonderfully useful things for a company, they will want to keep you, and give things like a bonus, or promotion, or salary hike. If you write good and useful code you can become valuable to the company. so release that code

    everything will eventually be worthless those cd's will get lost, scratched, records scratched, lost, or in one interesting case melted... I don't see your point still. I guess some things will last longer then others but it still loses value over time. mmmmm.entropy.....

    just in the library type in the name of the compilation highlight all that apply and right click get info check the compilation box viola! it's in the compilation dir.

    Oh, it would also be nice to be able to remove cover art once you've added it.
    never fear!!! left click on offending song. Go to get info on the song and go to artwork click offending art work and hit delete.

    the demand for anime and the community has grown exponetionally lately. the success of Spirited away in getting a wider audience (btw everybody who I've shown it to loved it) I believe that it is only a matter of time before more and more anime makes it into American theatres.
