I can't help but think of Escape velocity- Its original gameplay was good, but all the add-ons available added much more gameplay than it could have come with orginally.
The reason so many consoles have not been backwards-compatible is that each console used to have a different type of cartridge to suit new games. Now that all the gaming consoles are using optical media, It really wouldn't be too difficult to make them B-C.

Although I agree that Halo 2 has some very good singleplayer, I disagree that playing it on legendary will some how make it better. Fun single player comes from a wide variety of weapons, enemies, and level designs, not from being absurdly hard to win.
I dont think you're refering to it, but your pyramid game reminds me of another kick ass bungie game, pathways into darkness. That game had a very creepy feel to it- as marathon did- and lets face it, you cant beat talking to dead nazi corpses.
Trust me, ANY high school student who goes to an activity out of school will be interested. There is not one student in my school who would waste their precious out-of-school time on something they don't like. You might get more uninterested parties when dealing with a private school- overbearing parents would force the matter on their kids.
You shouldn't think that the private school students are any more capable than the public school ones. However, the rich bastards might each bring their own laptop.
I have a hard time believing this figure. Also listed on the factbook are: Military Manpower Availability- Males 18-49 73,597,731 Reaching military age annually- Males- 2,124,164
With over 2 million males turning 18 every year, I really doubt that there are only 2 million some people "fit for military duty". The term is rather ambiguous, though, and it would be interesting to see how it is calculated.
18, 17.... I think if a kid has the 50+ dollars to spend on a video game, they are old enough to buy it. If they stole the money from their parents, I think violent video games are the least of their worries.
You make a good point that TV is the worst thing on TV, but I think the worry about piracy is about the TV DVDs that are coming out. Cable TV will never die, because it is relatively cheap entertainment that requires no work or movement whatsoever.
If video games are not bad, why don't you let your children play them? Clearly you think they could have some negative influence. I think the good parenting part of controlling video games really comes into play when children do nothing but eat cheetos and play video games. In that case, you should really cut the cord.
The problem is in part that it is such a lucrative market. What we need to do is send a message to all the idiots actually reading this crap out there and tell them not to respond. What would the war on drugs be if we didn't tell people not to use them?
And even better than that- no harmful byproducts. I think its a much better idea to work towards completely safe energy sources than settle for one that isn't as awful as the one we have now. On a side note, once global warming settles in, there will be plenty of drought-stricken areas that will become excellent solar energy producing areas.
Halo wasn't a big sucess for their story- It was the multiplayer aspect. Maybe it's just my small town, but my friends and I set up 8-16 player halo parties all the time. We don't play halo because of the plot, but because of the physics, vehicles and guns. It's just the best multiplayer game for any console. I think everyone was disapointed in the singleplayer (i beat it in a day), and the emphasis of halo 2 should be on the multiplayer game.
It seems to me that taking the lamps, dirt, and space needed for the plants to grow would be less efficient than simply filling the space with canned food. I suppose it depends on the time they are taking; I wonder how many growing seasons they will have on the way to mars.
When doing something illegal to save money, always consider what your hourly payoff is. A $50 texbook copied in about 2 hours is about $25 dollars an hour. Quite a worthwhile job for a college student.
if by free you mean putting up with a minute of commercials for every two of a program. I don't listen to the radio for the same reason i hang up on telemarketers before they finish their little speech.
You could just use a third party game tunneling service, such as gamespy. It uses your pc to recreate the system link play on your xbox. Yes, that means you can play halo online
Since Micro$oft loses money on each xbox sold, you're not really supporting them by buying one. I think that would be a good strategy for pc loyalists- buy xboxes by the dozen and burn them. or mod chip them and copy games to the hard drive. Either way, you don't buy games, microsoft loses money and will pc gaming will triumph again
This idea was a good one. A harder difficulty increases the time it takes to beat the game, and thus makes the gamer happier. There were several parts in the game that took me a while to overcome but i still had fun doing it. And those of you who can't stand a decent challenge like the one in Ninja Gaiden are just a bunch of pansies.
I agree with you on the suckiness of the resident evil controls, but I think the game still stood on its own. What's more fun than killing zombie rednecks, or a zombie boy scout leader? Personally, I would like to see and evil dead FPS or 3rd person shooter, like brute force.
I'd put a few sic spacesound system in my spaceship and crank it up full. Then, I'd spacecruise around space suburbia, but because a spacevaccum doesn't carry sound, no spacesoccer moms will call the spacecops

My favorite use for them is to break the edges to make it weapon, put on a paintball mask, and have aol fights with my friends/enemies.

I'll forward it to a less-than-bright friend and scare the bejesus out of him with a laser pointer
REAL mac users have system discs dating back to at least system 4
