It's nice to see SOE has gotten their act together. A lot of other MMORPGs have been nearly destroyed by this kind of crap with devs oblivious to the problem. It's kind of like having an active "Total Information Awareness" within an MMORPG.

Maybe because SOE gets some of the take on the exchange was motivating, but still, it's nice to know that they have the tools to prevent this from happening again.

It's probably more a matter of changing the culture than an IQ pill. It's also important to note that in your statistics, you aren't saying that the relationship between race and IQ is causal, just that it is circumstantial.

Check the average IQ of the black child who was adopted by a married hetero white couple, or a black child whose family moved into a non-ghetto suburban neighborhood.

Conversly, look at whites from really dirt poor areas and you will similarly see a lower IQ.

Ok, joking. Seriously, he had other health problems for this to have happened and pushed him over the edge. He could have been at the office doing a 50 hour shift or even competing in military training. Somehow there is an unspoken link in the article suggesting that the game killed him.

My guess is it was either Lineage, or a map-hacked version of StarCraft.

Really, though, that a game is now $60 (and that's a primo game - expect many to go for far less - half the new games out this month for Xbox are going for less than $50) is hardly keeping with inflation. I remember many first rate NES games going for $50 back in the 1980s!!!

It's also more examples of stupid geeks whining about things and trying to instill meaning in their lives (sorta like whining about the Patriot Act) with no sense of context or even a basis in reality. Where is the whining about movie theatre ratings? The only point is that stores can't sell to kids without parental permission. Big deal.
