How about Deep Ascii. It's the porn movie "Deep Throat" converted via computer into ascii. Its kind of neat to watch, even though the screen is completely filled with characters the detail can be pretty good at times.

Lets just hope it doesn't block that winning touchdown pass at the superbowl. Seriously though.. how about outdoor sporting events in rugged terrain. Or maybe to survey the damage at a post nuclear accident or some kind of toxic gas filled area. Then again you could allways fit it with a laser and paint targets for cruise missiles.

I found an interview on the pinfalls website with Maxx Payne. He copped it as a play on the name Max Headroom after seeing a TV commercial. Regardless of the lawsuit, which I think is silly. This interview is pretty good... especially the things he has to say about industry and differences between the US and Japan.

I wonder if they will count the costs of the commercials in the money they are loosing every year to piracy... You can be certain they're counting that and the hidden cost of hosting multiple "consultation sessions" in the Bahamas with their stripper/secretaries.

Well it plays loops that you arrange... so youd still need to at least record loops from these synths first. When you eventually need new loops or come up with a cool sound idea you'll have to buy back those synths at inflated prices as their value will have appreciated.

The custom synth chip made for the C64 is in short supply, in fact from what I understand there arent any bulk ones left. It's the basis of some pretty neat modern synth projects including the SidStation, and the amazing DIY project The MIDIbox Sid. You might wanna check out this interview with Bob Yannes the designer of the SID chip.
