    possible prone to an attack that could detonate them.

    Thats just not possible, not for any nuclear yield anyway. Its possible to destroy them and explode the high explosive charge and spread radioactive debris around but you just cannot set one off properly without a certain sequence of events with very precise timing and order.

    I imagine it would eventually become standard procedure to check for an RFID tag and remove it before an MRI. They can always stick it back in, or a new one afterwards.

    Hmm makes me think of a possible book or novel plot, someone who goes into hospital at the same time as say the president has eachothers RFID chips put back into each other accidently...

    I can't imagine that happening. What I would expect to happen is for the ship to drop to the bottom of the ocean as the aerated water suddenly became unable to support the ship...

    That's how password brute force tools like John the Ripper work. You give it an /etc/secret file, which is full of hashes. It then keeps hashing test strings until it gets a hash that matches one of them. You then know you found the password.

    Or have just found a hash collision that matches that would pass as a valid password as well..

    If you really want to thwawt the link spammers, what you need to do is make sure 9 other wikipedia pages also get well linked for the phrase 'online poker', thereby meaning there are no [profitable] spammed linked on the front page of google results.. The pages 'online' and 'poker' would be a good start..

    But he has made no secret of his opposition to the online sharing of copyrighted material. Last week he signed an executive order prohibiting state employees from using software designed for file sharing.

    According to this article it appears that:

    While the order prohibited the use of state resources to illegally download copyrighted material, it specifically allowed for legitimate uses of the controversial software -- in moderation.

    So not quite so evil as it sounds..

    Lastly, if a patent is revoked, then the entity that filed the patent should be held accountable for the blockage of progress by society in general, and be legally and financially liable.

    How about this; for every obvious patent that is challenged and thrown out, another random patent by that patent owner if they have any more is also revoked. That will introduce a factor of risk into the patent process so big companies will stop throwing every little tweak they do to an existing process at that patent office.
