You have the counter argument. Look at dvd players and cdplayers. Every dvd player I know can play a regular cd. Every oven has a broiler. Every shower has a tub. Well... mine does:)
Point is, some things go well together. Scanners and printers use such different technology, no wonder one does well and the other doesn't. Same with these cell/pda's.
A phone has 12 buttons minimum, to dial a number and communicate via audio. The technology used are for converting audio to digital signal and back. It also has a battery used for high power situations, transmitions. A PDA uses either minimal input, i.e. a touch pad/pen or maximum, such as a keyboard. It uses low power and needs a bit of ram. It also needs a larger screen. No wonder you can't find a well integrated device.. usually. It's getting beter though.
I can't speak for blender, the format of its files and such, but all-in-one devices aren't always bad. Heck, computers double as typewritters and game systems.:)
This reminds me of how some religions, well, I know of only one, who refuse to write the word, God. They spell it G_d or G-d. Doesn't that just mutate the character set to make _ or - mean o whenever you spell G_d? I mean God. Gotcha there for a moment;), but you get the point.
Problem with young minds, in terms of programming, is that they sometimes lack the mental organizational skills to do OOD/OOA well. Not that they can't do all the neat OOP tricks.. just not all the business required stuff.
1. It plays on the ironic view of US being the world police.
2. Freedom, including that of speech, is one of the things America (should) hold most dear.
2a. America is a democracy, at least so believed, but as a democracy, it is ok to disagree with others, including your leader. Hell, you can work towards replacing him with yourself going through the proper channels.
So you see, he is funny. Your observation is wrong.

Depends on the context.
Sorta like CGI (Common Gateway Interface) and CGI (Computer Generated Image).
Do they mean they are just going to vaguely point at a tarball of the linux kernel and say, "There it is!" Or are they going to do something more useful like showing where in SCO's code it exists.
I was calculating in interest;P I mean, fine, use a larger number. $300 a month instead of $200. Heck, I'm paying $200 a month for 10 years and getting a phat return:)
If you just love to do programming, you really don't need college for it. Looking back on my college days, I feel like I got scammed. Most of what I learned was on my own, between work and classes. The college degree is a costly ticket to IT slavedom, where your day is spent making some jerk at the top rich.
Unless you go to college, or study textbooks of good CS colleges... AND you want to get "higher on the work ladder", you have no business being in a programmer.
The college degree is to teach you a base. When you go for your MS, then you learn an extension of that. When you go for your PhD's, then you go for extensions of those.
I took a course on system's analysis. I can't say if you did or didn't. But if you haven't, I am willing to say, I'm ahead of the curve. Not that the work was "totally hard", but I have familiarity in one aspect of the business side of CS. I also took a course in Comp Arch. Same situation applies. Now when I get my MS, I'll be far more capabale that you, unless you show experience equiv of an MS in the courses I do.
If you think it's a big scam, you fell for it. If you see it as undervalued, then you didn't go far enough with your degree(s). You also didn't realize, a link-list and when to apply it is quite important. If you learned it on your own or in school, you are much better than most. If you heard about it/w your degree and are clueless now, that's just as much your fault. Sorta like investing in a gym membership, working, and then letting it all go to become "fat" again.
You realize, they are building a new device geared towards gaming. Not using the old design.
Btw, all you need for pacman is a 4 directional game pad. For legend of zelda's (except wind waker (maker?) and 64) you needed a digital pad. Super mario world, f-zero, final fantasy, sonic the hedge hog.. they don't need the analog stick
Now they may not be YOUR favourite games, but they were hits that many people will play.
The first step to encryption is NOT getting rid of duplicate data.
All encryption is, is obfuscation of data. Usually, your goal is to have a 1-1 function that takes data in, some data to use as an encryption key (initialization vector, pk, something) and your result is new data, equal in size.
Compression can be considered encryption, in that it obfuscates data. So is ROT-13. It's weak, fine, but the job is to prevent people from reading it unintentionally (like hidden answers).
Btw, compressing will save data bandwidth, but not data processing bandwidth (CPU).
Skip the last sentence.. keyboard burp?

Dude. ThaiMaster. You missed the easy one.
Supply and demand. If enough people want a channel, they can make it any cost they want.
Simple as that.
Screw copyright violation. He just warezed it.

Know what's funny? Second first post in a row with a +3 or higher. ph34r m3. ;)
But.. but.. they have 5 main features anyone would want. Everything else is in their business section, which is what anyone else WOULD want.
All in all, it's a pretty good interface. Even their advanced forms are easy to use.

See, your friend's enemy is your friend. No wait. Your friend's friend can also be your enemy. No...
/w IBM on their new chips. No more analysis :)
Ah frig'..
Apple is going along
Heh, you know.. you CAN light them. Flame thrower attack!
Are you saying that Gentoo sucks, since if it is ported to every machine that has a sucky OS, that Gentoo might BE that sucky OS?
Or did you just insult Mac OSX.
p.s. OS X doesn't suck, [ insert long winded flame ]
You are right. They are behind in market share, but then again, the best products aren't always most popular.

Sorry.. too easy
They are making new hardware for this. They are using the OS.

Actually, hurricanes are a lot easier to survive if you aren't right on the coast.
Just live about 10 miles in. And if you are worried about blizzards, NY rarely gets them.
Doing any precalculation would increase entropy, you are right. Then again, so would uuencoding it.

iTunes compensates wonderfully with it's smart play lists. In v4, you can make play lists that of songs least listened to.. or most for that matter.
Kinda sucks if you never listen to music via your mac. Otherwise.. it r0x3n teh b0x3n.
