few things I have to say here.

I have a personal problem w/morons sending me emails/IMs that have poor grammar, incorrect spelling, and no punctuation. I routinely correct them and usually I am ignored, but I hope that someday these fools will get it.

GAIM has a plugin that spell checks your lines and highlights them red if you are spelling something wrong. Very useful. I sometimes use it to quickly check the spelling of a word in another application (faster than running spell check in Pine or IRC ;))

My parents sent out a resume for me to a company near where they live. Instead of asking me to write everything up, they did it for me. The cover-letter was riddled w/mistakes including blatant spelling errors. I ended up getting an interview for that job but for positions that I make sure my cover-letters are 100% I don't even get a "sorry letter".

What is the world coming to?

I was in a computer class that taught LOGO in 6th or 7th grade. By that time I was already very familiar w/BASIC and somewhat familiar with PASCAL. I found it to be a waste of my time and actually made me less interested in other languages.

Everyone's experieneces are different I guess but I just don't see how you can show LOGO as instilling the programming bug (no, not intended) into school-aged kids.

why does the plot still suck? why does the movie rely on CGI that looks only slightly better than the original film's? why does the acting really suck?

I hated all the SW movies, especially AotC. It was boring, the movie didn't hold my attention, and I was certainly unimpressed by the CGI after seeing other movies (LotR).

I am not trolling either. I really think that the movie (for all the money that gets sunk into it) should be a lot better than it is.

I don't care if everyone considers at $100 piece of hardware "throw away". I still have my USR Courier 28.8 (56k) from when it first came out. I still have 3Com Ethernet cards from way back (ISA), and I still have a TON of other random hardware (including other HDs).

This stuff is always able to be reused (especially for other poor college students that have shit that breaks and need it replaced quickly and for free).

I am sick and tired of recent hardware breaking and the fucking manus not taking responsibility.

Make some decent hardware and put a 1 yr on it. Fine. Otherwise make shit hardware and put a long one on it.

I listen to plenty of bands that are independents and I know (from the complaints of my gf, roommate, and friends) that the music sucks to them (mainstreamers, shessh).

Linux was something that the community could improve on. Music is more individual, we can't help the artists to get that much better (yeah, monetarily, but nothing else).
