    I hate wearing a watch and use my mobile to tell the time - but there are situations where I must turn it off, then I have no idea what the time is.
    All you would need would be a momentary on-switch which you press to display the time on leds or something under the skin, or perhaps even the time spoken into your ear canal/drum.

    2)Mobile phone
    Why not just implant the whole phone.

    3)TV remote
    Never lose it again.

    4)PDA
    Appointments, addresses, etc.

    5)Vibrator
    What the hell, why not!

    Self powered diabetes control systems. You can use the excess glucose into power, and when the level is too low, it can release a reserve of glucose.

    I like the idea of combining diabetes treatment with a built in tazer. Glucose -> zap! Don't fuck with me man, I've got diabetes!

    I think using a bee hive would be better, as all the glucose would be in one compact place and you would have to have heaps of flowers to power it (which would be nice).

    Incidently if you have sugar by products in your urine you should see your doc as you might have diabetes.

    Since most people don't test their own urine for sugar, then how would they know?

    Unless they drink their own piss, in which case you really need to see a doctor.

    With cows or other large animals, larger devices with more power would be possible. Perhaps a device to summon the cows for round up, or give them a shock if they stray out of bounds.

    Stuff that, use it with GPS in humans for home detention.

    How 'bout in drug rehab - if the device detects the drug it shocks the fuck out of the user.

    Or school kids, not in school? zap, buzz, crackle!

    Crap. What do you think the phrase "suvival of the fittest" means? If somebody can't reproduce because of exposure to chemicals in the environment, that is natural selection in action. So is the women who are sterile by virtue of self inflicted damage. So are many other reasons.

    More pertinant is the fact that infant mortality during and after birth has been significantly reduced in the first world. This has a far more wide ranging effect on natural selection that IVF and related technology ever could. Children who would never "normally" have survived grow up and produce offspring of their own. This is natural selection in action - we can't change the method of selection, but we can change the environment.

    Still, I doubt anyone will champion the virtues of allowing the weakest 50% of the population to die at birth.

    I have found work to be far more relaxed since management realised that I have them by the nuts.

    No one gives you shit if you can wreck their phone/email/file/b2b systems in under 5 seconds.

    Speak for yourself...I'm guessing you don't actually own a console. I won't go into a huge listing, but there are many, many quality console games out there that beat the hell out of any PC games.

    Speaking as a 28 year old, uncoordinated and easily bored occasional game player, I find the problems with consoles:

    1. The controllers are too small for my fat hands
    2. The controllers have too many buttons in too many places for my fat hands to operate
    3. There's no keyboard, how am I supposed to use this thing?
    4. Where's the ethernet port? How am I supposed to have a network deathmatch?
    5. Every second game involves a cute animal with encephalitis (yuck)
    6. All the blood is green
    7. I can be soundly thrashed by a 5 year old on any game
    8. The 5 year old laughs at me

    I can't believe that no one has mentioned games!

    If I can't run Office I don't give a damn, but if I can't run games, well that's a different story.

    If linux can run doom III faster than windows on equivalent hardware straight out of the box then I think it might have a future, otherwise don't bother.

    I can't wait for the shit to hit the fan in hollywood ;-)

    If we want better movies, then I suggest we find a cheap way of upgrading the audience. Either that, or we show "Phantom Menace" again and shoot anyone who turns up.

    Stop paying to watch crap.

    I must admit to seeing T2 at the movies at least 19 times (I was studying just up the road from the theatre at the time, and I used to see it every tuesday.).

    I loved the beginning of that movie!

    Now, with the trailers for T3 coming out, I sooo don't give a crap. Why, I'll tell you why:

    1. Female terminator - gee, who couldn't see that one coming! T4 will probably have either Osama Bin Laden or Saddam Hussein as the next baddie
    2. Hokey post apocalyptic scene with a tattered American flag - a) cliche!, b) not another "America saves everyone" movie!
    3. No Edward Furlong - so what if he has drug problems, doesn't everyone in hollywood?
    4. No Linda Hamilton - so what if James Cameron and she broke up, what ever happened to professionalism?
    5. Claire Danes - why god why?!!
    6. I've seen Matrix Reloaded - it's better
    7. I've seen X2 - even it is better

    James Cameron made one of the all time best movies: Terminator. Now what's the bitch doing? Fucking Titanic!!

    I would rather see the original Terminator movie remade than see more of the "Disney with killer robots" shite.

    Am I the only one who wants to see this movie at the movies?

    Sure, I may download it after I have seen it at the movies but I don't have a screen as big as the movies or a sound system that is as good.

    If I watch a movie at home I have to put up with interruptions from a 5 year old every 15 minutes, and interruptions from a 38 year old every couple of hours. If I go to the movies and somebody makes too much noise I can tell them to shut the fuck up without upsetting anyone I care about.

    I can get popcorn and sugar coated crap that I don't have to prepare myself - and if I make a mess someone else cleans it up.

    Your government doesn't care about how many iraqis die - why should it? They can't vote. And they are openly hostile to the US.

    Why doesn't the US intervene in dictatorships in countries without oil? What about the dictatorships that are loyal to the US? Why isn't the US waiving the flag for democracy there?

    Where did Sadamm's weapons come from? Hint, hint, your pal uncle sam.

    I don't have anything against the US for wanting to be an empire - just be honest about it for goodness sake.
