The equipment would not need any extra protection. They would most likely be kept along with the other supplies (chow, parts, and medical suppllies). The normal guard details should be able to handle protecting this equiment just by adding a few feet to their patrol routes (if the camp has to expand to encompass them).

I don't think most 13yr olds are all that interested in the technological advancements achieved in the making of Doom 3. They actually may be more interested in half naked women and Mountain Dew.

No my friend, the real answer is Samus. Samus has proven time and time against that she is a real war hero and can root out the terrorist where they live - in caves. She has proven that she can the full force of her military technology down on the enemy. Yes, Samus is a relentless hero for the Ages and can defend the US against any and all threats. A second leg of that campaign is bearing fruit this year, as a wave of Windows-based entertainment hardware comes to market. Some of these will be portable devices, dubbed Portable Media Centers, running a slimmed-down version of Windows that includes Microsoft's new Janus copy-protection tools. This technology is expected to give a boost to subscription services by allowing the music to be put on portable devices for the first time.
    emphasis mine

Why on earth would you need a Windows GUI on a device the with the same comparible size and power of an Ipod?

I wonder if in the future they'll bundle Media player 10 and the MS music store with Longhorn.

Just be thankful you didn't have to file a claim. I had to do a claim with them once:
They did the estimate in a timely manner but it took weeks to find a company who could do the work at their cost. They wouldn't accept claims from well-known reputable body-shops here in town (it cost more than what they said it would, all 11 places). Eventually they found somebody after I spoke with a manager then the manager of that manager. It also took another 3 months to get my check from them (a check that was supposedly cut a week later: heh, not according to the date on the check I finally recieved).

I think Progressive would probably target anyone who didn't upload thier driving data by slowing pushing up the price of coverage for those who don't upload thier data from the device.

No, When I'm at home I usually just turn the music down: not off. I'm not a "talker". I try to spend less than 5 minutes on the phone. I usually won't pick up my cell phone when driving. I usually won't pick up when I'm at the gym. I definately won't pick up when I'm "grooving" with my girlfriend while listening to my slow jams mix. Why want my music to stop just because the phone rings in these situations?

Besides, you wouldn't want your music suddenly stopping when you're at a picnic, beach outing, or a party would you?

Most people I know use a phone to just make phone calls. Sure they like their cool ring tones and all but, music and phone calls are still seperate activities for the average VP-on-the-move. Most Schmoes wouldn't use an IPOD anyway. Believe it or not most people still ask me, "Whats that?" whenever they see mine:

    Them: Whats that?!
    me: and Ipod
them: oh, one of those music thingies?
    me: yea

I just don't see this type of person wanting to talk to Autie Jolie while listening to Disturbed at the same time. I think someone had it right when they explained that most people with cool phones got them at a discount or for free with their phone plan. I definately don't see IPod sales drying up anytime soon. I NEED my cell phone to be a cell phone. I don't want to stop my playlist so I can pick up a call!
