    currently $50 I can sell you one right now if you like. they are pretty cool, slightly smaller than a regular A-19 sized lamp which means it fits all standard fixtures and is dimmable by regular household dimmers.

    in other words it screws right into existing applications with nearly identical color output.(in our non philips testing you can put the led lamp right next to a regular 60 A19 and just barely notice the color differences in the same fixture. in two separate fixtures separated by more than 1 foot you can't tell any more.

    Only the movies the studios agree to do so with. But yes. I have seen movies as they hit the theaters. Usually second rate movies though.

    And it isnt worth going back to TW for.

    Time warner really sucks off the MPAA.

    WTF are you talking about?

    Every Time warner HD channel has its own HD VOD channel. there is movies on demand, and HD movies on demand, on a seperate channel.

    As for $10 rentals that is only for porn, and before it is out in theaters movie releases.

    Indivual movies are normally $3.99, $4.99 for HD. Same as blockbuster.

    While time warner is a pain their full ON DEMAND service isnt bad at all, with you being able to watch a movie/ tv show within 24 hours of it being released( some stations restrict that)

    How can you prove there isn't another copy ever? once you show it to someone it is copied into their memory. the only way to be sure is to kill the person.

    Also since most ideas are derivative of previous work, the probability that someone else had a similar idea is very very high.

    Bell, was the first to file for patent on the telephone.
    Wright brothers weren't the first to fly, but the first to take off with a motor., and they were the first to patent it.

    America was the first to build and deploy a nuclear bomb, however Nazi Germans had come up with the basic concept a decade earlier.

    So if the only way to stop the spread of an intellectual concepts is to kill everyone involved, and even then you stand a really high chance of someone else making it work at a similar time on their own. How can you say it was yours and yours alone.

    the difference between intellectual property and real property is the fact real property can be taken away from you. No one can "take" an idea away from you, they can only copy it.

    I can take your car, kick you out of your house, but I can only ever copy your trademark, copyright, or patent.

    There is a difference between gross profits( which is what every reports) and net profits.

    All the "record profits" are gross profits before overhead, and other expenses. Take a good look some day instead of just assuming you know what profit means.

    100 billion in profits on 1 trillion in sales means you have 10% margin out of that 90% is overhead. And you are making 1% profit. Only billion dollar companies can live with that. Even Dell makes 15%, and Apple makes 30%.

    Record profits only have meaning when you think like a small minded idiot.

    Not to defend exxon but wall street speculators cause more price swings than any other force, from the big oil companies to the country oil cartels. Pass a law that says you must hang on to futures trades for 24 hours and watch the price stablize.

    your family makes $110,000 a year, the average american family makes $70k a year.

    two people making minimum wage are bringing in $50k a year.

    Your making far more than the average family. let alone those who are struggling. Even living some place cheap doesn't help so much. That extra 30-40 thousand really makes all the difference in the world.

    ps your wife working part time makes almost as much as a manager of a fast food joint does working 60 hours a week.

    A former IBM CEO ince stated that there was only a market for 10 computers world wide.

    While I agree the average person wont be buying a car and printing it out what you will find are custom "build" shops that will build you your car"custom designed for lots of plans, some certified by car company" in 48 hours.

    That wont stock cars at the dealership but build them like mcdonalds's as ordered. I figure to see something like that in 30-40 years. Between complex multi tool,multi material CNC mills, and quick print plastics all you need now is the electronics manufacturing( and it is difficult).

    Of course you still need raw materials, and that is where the economy will be focused still

    these people put gas in their cars and that is all. iDevices are similar, you set it up once, and maybe add a fancy steering wheel cover, and that is it.

    sure but the moment you take out insurance on your insurance to cover your insurance on your default swap, with each insurance only covering the 50% of the riskiest credit the last bit of insurance is covering 75% of bad insurance and will collapse, which then forces all the other insurances to collapse.

    tada that is exactly what happened. those big banks jumped into an insurance pyramid scheme of their own making and where to stupid to see the forest for all the green they were growing.

    They didn't break any laws because no one really knew what they were doing including themselves.

    depends on the system. With Nissan's the answer is no. the FOB doesn't need to be present that way you can use the valet key. however it will then only restart with the valet key unless you walk out and walk back into range.

    In a store it is you and your spouse sitting in the perfectly aligned roomed they have already prepared.
    At home with 2 kids, and 2 of their friends over, sitting on the floor, in a room that is to shallow, narrow, angled funny, it is a different story.

    Current 3D tv's have an optimum viewing angle that can barely fit a 3 person couch. you put a recliner off to the side and the person in the recliner will always have problems. If you don't have a theater size watching room, then you might as well not bother. If you like watching movies in positions other than ramrod straight sitting vertical then you might as well not bother.y girl while not wearing stupid

    as for me I am going to lay down and cuddle with a pretty girl to watch movies.

    Sure it is you have,

    Income(taxes), fixed expenses(mortage, car payments,insurance, more insurance) variable temporary expenses( credit card bills, and other short term loans), regular expenses ( food,
    Every day consumables), and funstuff.

    The problem is the last adminstration, maxed out our credit cards to pay forthings that wont help us out much. Now that same party is trying to cut income whilepaying off that excess debt, and using the whole thing to cut our saftey insurances to nothing. Because they dont need insurance because they are rich, so no one else needs it either.

    All of this is made wirse by the fact for last forty years we have quietly been taking money out of our retirement account(socialsecurity) and now we want to retire but find that the money is still gone.

    We spent stupidly for forty years. Now vicent the loan shark wants his money in full.

    This mess will take another 40 years to fix. Since we wont do it right for the next 5 tries either. Remember it was Bush who maxed out the credit cards, pushed for higgher limits on them and then cut income.

    Ite is the SME(Shuttle main egines) that cause the bulk of the work. They have to be pulled torn down inspection and tested for every flight.
    Yes the rest of it gets inspected too. But you dont rebuild your car engine every 30k miles either.

    Russian buran didnt use SME just bigger boosters.

    Now if some one can just make a 1 newton ion engine for space manuvering we will be all set.

    8 years hah! Try 80 years. It is one of the few things FDR did that i dont agree with. While truman and Esinhower tried to tone it back down, the damage was done, with each succesive president trying to one up the previous in how much they weild.
