Lots of people leave their reciepts in and around the machine. Some of them stil print enough info to make a new card. In fact there was a scam where guys would videotape people from across the street. After a while they'd go and clear out the garbage bin, match the time of the transaction with the video of the person entering their PIN and bingo! That's why I always take the reciepts with me.
It's important to know what people really like and dislike. However, if you have a vision for your game you also need to focus on that. It's a bit of a tight rope.
Well, it's not like you can download extra content to a stock PS2 is it? Don't think that Sony and EA aren't thinking about ways to tap into this idea. Look at EQ and Galaxies for the PS2.
No because the market wouldn't stand for that. Seriously, if you want extra content someone has to pay. Is it your right to have the game supported for free for all time because you bought it?
If you want additional content then it has to be paid for somehow. Sometimes companies give it away in hopes that it will drive sales and sometimes they add enough to make it a full blown expansion. This gives them the option to do soemthing in between. Anything that provides an extra revenue stream is a good thing.
Well, how about the fact that none of the content in the expansion was done at the time the original game was released? You are comparing apples and oranges.
They stopped talking about it because they had already played it. Exclusives are important, but timed exclusives can work well for everyone. The publisher gets more value out of the dev dollar and the console maker gets a boost for a while. Look at GTA III and Vice City.
Also, the PS2 and GC version didn't look nearly as good as the Xbox version and the GC version was painful to play on the standard controller.
That the antigonism exists between devs and publishers. The goals should be the same, but I am sure this kind of conflict exists in other entertainment industries as well.
How about no? When I make an investment of my time and money into a project why the hell would I want to give it away? I don't think I am speaking from naivete as I have been making games for over 6 years now.
It's all about the games and right now I own 3 times as many game for my Xbox as I do for my Cube. If you like Nintendo games then you buy more because you are their market. Same goes for Xbox.

Hey, thanks for stealing our game, much appreciated.
Black Isle didn't write the story in BG or BG2, we did.

Your fee pays for the network and it's features any extra content comes from the dev and publisher, not Live.

Why should it be any different for Macs?
When it comes to charity they really give back to the community. Being doctors they know how hard it is to get donations for medical needs.

What's so special about this review?
WIRED has a distinct Apple bias and Leander Kahney is at the forefront of that bias.
Wasn't it part of Apple's ad campaigns a few years ago to claim that Macs made you more creative?
Well, how about the fact that none of the content in the expansion was done at the time the original game was released? You are comparing apples and oranges.
When was the last time taxes went down?
I said top 10 scoring anon troll. Try again and then report back.

The minute you spell Microsoft as M$ your point goes out the window as a anti-fanboy.
Nice troll, but try looking at the top 10 Xbox titles and try again. There are some awesome games out on the Xbox these days.

He claims they didn't. Wonder who's lying?
Well, seeing that most consoles now cost less than a mid-range video card, let alone a whole PC, that's not really much of a point.

Show me one Open Source game that is as polished, complete and fun to play as the Top 10 on any of the current consoles.
