I got the fright of my life a few years ago, I was physically re-arranging a server in a spaghetti tangled mess that originally would have been called a rack. For various reasons it had to be left on and connected to the network. So there I am, delicately trying to move cables about when suddenly *BLAH BLAH BLEEDI BLUU BLAH* blasts out of the speaker next to my ear - one of the admins had remoted in and launched some kind of crack. Didn't know what to think for the microsecond before my brain recognized the sound...
Sometimes the Internet is detrimental, too - a lot of people spend entirely too much time online, and setting down a small schoolchild and letting him use the Internet all day isn't so good.
Ethical questions aside it would be an interesting experiment, internet as your only source of information and instruction?
I suspect that the motivation to keep learning might be a problem, without the feedback that comes from a teacher/student relationship...

Hi Xxxxx,
Thanks so much for your kind words about RT. We love to hear when it has been useful for folks.
While we very much want RT to be a tool that helps organizations be ITIL compliant, we're not currently planning to go down the road of forcing a default RT installation to fully push ITIL processes on end- users or of paying Pink Elephant for ITIL certification. We currently have the ITIL spec in the files for RT and we are very happy to help organizations get RT set up to match their ITIL processes, as well as other organization specific processes.

The DS screen is only 240 pixels wide, not enough to display 80 columns for a full size terminal session.
Most basic command line stuff would work, but just think about the multitude of stuff that would not (imagine trying to run top for instance).
Dude, he even specifies what would be a worse disaster:
What if we had a larger disaster on our hands such as price/rarity of gas skyrocketing to the point where farmed goods can no longer be delivered in quantity to major metropolitain areas?
And I agree too, imagine food not being able to get food into a major city - boggles the mind.
It's nothing more than an engineering problem. When the cost of energy from oil exceeds the cost of other sources over time, we'll start using those other sources.
It really is depressing to me when people say things like that, look here for details on why shale oil is not a solution.
Quoted from the site: Greenhouse emissions from the production of shale oil at Stage 2 would be nearly four times higher than from normal oil.
The production/refinement of shale oil is one of the most potentially damaging technologies ever.
I pray that they do this, really.
I can't wait for the first time that a cracker gets root access, overwrites 10 million eproms over the internet and everybodys unit boots up to a GOATSE image on their home theater setup:)
You think Hot Coffee was a scandal? Wait until millions of soccer moms wake up to that!
Good points, VNC is possible on Palm however:
