Almost all the things in flight (except birds) always refer to GMT! BTW, When they are in orbit, astro/cosmonauts see a sunset and sunrise every 90 minutes. So I wouldnt be surprised if they are having breakfast at 2.30am GMT.
Space junk, half the size of the little finger nail has hit the International Space Station (of size approximately 20 VW beetles) today morning at 2.30am precisely. The junk was moving at a 1000 times the speed of a jumbo jet, and if hit head on could create a crater 0.0034 times the size of Philadelphia.
Excellent move by Novell. Basically they are showing two fingers to SCO and their silly legal moves. Ours is one of the many asking novell for providing linux support for a while. And we are glad to see it arrive finally.
What I dont understand is, the most political(?) and idealistic of us all, RMS is keeping quiet. He hasnt opened his mouth since the whole drama started. Wonder what he is thinking...speak now RMS.
I live in UK and most of the calls I recieve are related to double glazing. I got so tired of them started to get back to them in a novel way..here is my typical conversion.

Mod me down as flamebait but, I dont know why people are wasting their valuable time hacking a desktop environment based on an image editor program. KDE is leaps and bounds ahead of GNOME in terms of usablility and performance. Take a look at Slicker for example, it beats the shit out of even WinXP in terms of usability & eye candy. Let us all join together and spend our valuable time making Linux ready for desktop.
I now see the reason why RMS has always insisted on keeping Free Software *free* (as in spirit) and never let any corporate interests to hijack the development of Free Software. The whole *open source* thing brought greedy corporations into play and we are now seeing the results!!
Disagree.AFAIK, spy sattellites are usually in lower orbit (so they can move over a lot of countries), hence can not be geosynchronous. In a geosync orbit (about 36,000miles which is too-far out to take a nice picture), the satellite stays in a fixed position relative to earth, and hence a the footprint is smaller.
That's the exact reason why you are still on earth. Yes, these people are under pressure, but they are supposed to be the 'coolest' guys, able to handle a lot of stress and they are trained to do so.
It looks like the swearing is misinterpreted by media as a tussle between the astronauts and the ground control just to make up some 'excitement'. It is quite natural for my mate to swear at me or my code, and me replying 'stop swearing'! but not really meaning it.
Why is everyone forgetting the only one St. Postel ?

Since when did IBM became a German company? Think before you speak. The deal is done by IBM & SuSE an American gaint and a German upstart.

So, why buy Microsoft Products or the PCs loaded with Microsoft Products in the first place!?
Here is the mirror
Please use the netinstaller (~250kb) which would find a closest mirror for you automatically to download.
In that case it should already be in the market! 11th January 2002 is 7 mths ago! ;)

Hello my little fella,
If you are reading this message from one of those kiosks in India, here is an advice for you from an elder:
GET A LIFE!! Leave this computer shit.
The old site is definitely faster than the new one! ;)

There's just no need. (Well, I guess if you run windows you gotta get your service packs every few minutes ;)
Shouldn't the articles themselves be moderated for flamebait, troll etc..? What do you say CmdrTaco?
I've a squint in both the eyes..Hope they wouldn't pick me for wrong reasons!!!

If it is all true and becomes mainstream, Can I read slashdot before it is published?
Just wondering...
The music is only as good as your ears...
I personally like mp3 though. Isn't mp3 open standard and the other two proprietary?
