Well, it took me about 8 hours to get that far - then again, I suck at video games. Actually one of the things that stopped me from getting further was getting "Stuck" on my quests (either getting killed immediately, or not being able to find what i needed to look for)
Heck, I lost my motivation to play after reaching level 6. Running around killing wolves and thieves, collecting swag and bringing it back to the castle? Probably just me (10 million subscribers can't be wrong) but I got bored fast.
I have had the chance to play with surface (there is one where I work in building 86) and am VERY impressed. Everyone that stops by to play with it comments on how cool it is, and is laughing and smiling the entire time. Seriously, I would love to have this in my house.
Does anyone still USE C++ any more? Seems the only ones around where I work who even know C++ are the old timers. Recently, the consulting company I work for had the opportunity to hire a number of C++ programmers for a legacy project - we had one guy on staff, and couldn't find ANYONE else with the necessary skills.
Actually they were right-on about the roads - lots of municipalities (Pennsylvania, and Bellevue Washington come to mind) are experiementing with new paving materials such a "Superpave" and others that contain rubber particles and provide a smoother and quieter ride

My engineering professor did similar studies in the 1960s - he told us about them in our dynamics class circa 1983.
Ah OK, that guy IS in the MS phonebook.
