I was listening to JJJ (Australia) the other day about the US elections. They were interviewing an American who had voted. She said, "I am apposed to the war in Iraq, but I voted for Bush because I am better off financially".
The same attitude is in Australia as well. People will vote for what will benefit themselves, not what benefits everyone.
Is a blue-ray burning application for KDE and call it Korn. Then we can be sued by the RIAA for *insert violation of the week kere*
BTW, I've got a couple of korn CD's in my collection, but they do not taste very good.
On a serious note, how long do these last? I once lived in a share house and during our yearly clean up we found a packet of cornflakes(TM) in the cupboard. The useby date was about 8 months prior and they did not look too good.
Well, I can be arrested for saying I am going to kill you. It is called conspiracy to commit murder. So is it so far fetched to think of a time when you can be charged with conspiracy to commit *insert crime here*.
Me: "I am running late, so I will have to speed to get there on time"
*knock knock*
Them: "You are being charged with conspiracy to commit speeding. You have the right to remain silent, if you waive that right you will have no rights at all"
I believe that his hypothesis was a theoretical one in which run-time linking (ie running a program under linux) required adpotion of the linux license.
For example, vmware runs on linux, linux is GPLX, hence vmware is GPLX.
If this were the situation, Linux would not be anywhere near as popular today.
Do you realize why the lawnmowers are designed to "suck". It is to lift the grass blades so they can be cut better.
The problem with the flymo is it did not lift the grass, but forced it down with the air pressure that was required for the mower to "fly". Therefore, the flymo would not cut the grass properly.
That sounds a bit too much like the virus "Bad Times". The virus of course didn't exists, but there were many alerts about it a few years back. There even was a song written called "Bad Times" which took its lyrics from the alerts. The best line from it is "It will make you fall in love with penguins". I wonder how many people got that joke.

"Using Unix is the computing equivalent of listening only to music by David Cassidy"
To continue the musical comparison. Windows, 15 different variations of the same mass produced pop song whos only existance is to make money for a company that already has a lot of money.
I'll take David Cassidy, even if he has a CLI only.

Mose VCRs have tuners in them. Do they also have the fee applied? If not, can I connect a VCR to a monitor (with no internet access or tuner) and not have to pay the fee?
I've just finished installing minix on my Zenith supersport 286e. I found it under a house. But I now need a new power supply as I let the magic blue smoke out of the old one. The good news is that it is a fairly standard (as laptop PS units go) 16.5 V DC unit.
+1 Funny or -1 Offtopic. My brain hurts. But the good thing is with this post is that I can no longer moderate. Ahhh
So are you suggesting we all just look out for number 1 and screw the rest of the world?

And take my classic Zenith Supersport 286e. It would seem modern to some of the computers that will be on display there.

who base their whole business model on patent, search and sue.
How about patenting the phrase F*CK YOU.
Maybe I should patent a rotten egg smell. Then every time someone farts, they will owe me $50 or I'll sue their ass, litterally.
I agree. I was at the forefront once. It really wasn't much different to the other three. Next time I am going to try for the fifth.
Damn, your reply was funnier than your original comment.
