    gentoo is so damned easy to install now... anyone who can follow simple, well written, walk-you-through-the whole-thing instructions can do it... There's nothing l33t about it at all now... if you can't install Gentoo, then there's no hope for you.

    can be licensed for sale in the boxed sets, but can't be distributed for free on the GPL disks...... oh and Linspire is fully legal now, but you can't get it in the download version... only the retail version or via click-n-run with a subscription. IIRC, TurboLinux also has the relevant microsoft codecs and also is only available fully functional as a boxed set... but again, cannot be included in the GPL only version.

    I had heard on the news that they provided the tape to Al Jazeera with english subtitles, but I didn't see them in the video.

    You didn't expect the American News Agencies to actually show the version that was screened with English subtitles now did you??? They show the plain Arabic version which then means that those who watch the showing have to rely on the "translation" provided over it by the news Agencies... which also means that to the average American, also appears to be just another Arabic nutter warbling along in an incomprehensible language...

    well there must be something to it as it's being reported by the BBC... and windows powered ATMs have already been taken out by worms...

    Already, he said, there have been four incidents in which cash machines have been unavailable for hours due to viruses affecting the network of the bank that owns them.
    In January 2003 the Slammer worm knocked out 13,000 cash machines of the Bank of America and many of those operated by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
    In August of the same year, cash machines of two un-named banks were put out of action for hours following an infection by the Welchia worm.

    he doesn't actually have to have child porn on his machine... he can quite easily send an html mail containing a link to a picture located online... less capable email clients will nethertheless go online and fetch the image when the email is viewed... try explaining that away...

    wrong mod... should be insightful... not funny. There are supercomputers out there with liquid cooling... I should know, I was involved in installing and commissioning the chilled water supplies to the platforms they sit on. Can't say much more as the location is classified.

    although X over ssh also has it's advantages, notably being able to launch programs from that konq window that also run on the remote computer but are being displayed as x sessions on the client... I was running openoffice this way by using the remote konq to launch a remote OOo by doubleclicking on an .sxw file...
