The standard macbook could easily be pronounced as "just as ultra mobile as the Sir" since, in fact, the only thing different about the size is a marginal difference in thickness at ONE END. Other than the thickness, the X-Y footprint is the same, the weight difference is basically negligible in a backpack, and you get a 100% better feature set at 50% the price. I'm not seeing how ANYONE can defend this thing anymore. I'd buy a standard macbook over this thing at the SAME price, let alone the ridiculous price they have the AIR set at.

They should have revamped the Macbook to be "a bit thinner with the a couple more features and NO less," refreshed the Macbook Pro, Waited until the keynote to talk about the Mac Pro refresh, come out with a matte screen iMac, and people would have thrown a party. Not this drivel though.

People really started hating MS when they started this same stuff so Apple shouldn't for a second think they're somehow immune to that same wide-spread hate. I'll agree with that. I'm about 1/3 through the game right now and there have been many points at which I was truly surprised by the ability of the PS3 to keep up with what was going on. Just the fact that there can be thousands of items on screen (bolts, raritanium, enemies, stuff happening in the background), they can ALL have their own pretty little effects and animations going, and the framerate is 100% liquid...it's just astounding.

I'm pretty unbiased in my standings between the 360 and PS3. I own both consoles and enjoy both. The PS3 really did pull one out with this game though. I only hope that the more "hardcore" gamers aren't turned off by the initial cartoony nature of the game. Once you get into it you realize how beautiful and incredibly well done it is. Some of the in-game rendered cutscenes look like something straight out of pixar.

A perfect game wouldn't need to make up for areas of lacking ANYWHERE. That aside, even the multiplay, while fun, is far from perfect. Halo3 was, and is, a great package but it's nowhere near a "perfect" game. I'm not just picking on Halo3 here either. HL2 for instance was a phenomenal game....but to call it "perfect" (like so many reviewers did) is just naive and downright inaccurate.

Regardless of what conspiracy theorist ideas you may have, they didn't spend billions developing these bombs, and then cause lots of (localized) damage testing them just for the pretty fireworks show. The tests DID have a point.

Not that I'm saying I LIKE the idea that the things are hanging around anymore. The idea that one bomb could kill millions and the idiotic world leaders wave them around like a revolver in the hands of a drunk is just a little on the "what the hades, are you totally insane??" side of things. It's a sad state of affairs we live in when people talk about "nukes for nukes" instead of the lives of the people that would be vaporized without a chance.
