This is the same feelings I have to rom's and emulating old games. If the manufacturer doesn't want to put it out commercially for whatever reason, they shouldn't be allowed to limit its (free) distribution by others.
That said, I actively trade old MST3K episodes, and Best Brains, the company behind the show, has no problem with the trading. People appreciate this liberal stance to trading so much that when copies of the show are commercially released, people stop trading those episodes. It works out to everyones benefit.
Keep circulating the tapes!
It's already this bad. My sister is in a high school marching band, and there is almost always an official event videographer who tapes the entire event.
The tape is (typically) a single camera shoot with a fixed camera at a point where the entire event can be seen with miced sound pumped in.
This tape is available for sale immediately following the event.
This all seems wonderful, but the tapes almost always contain macrovision.
Now, there are good reasons for this, so that one parent doesn't buy the tape and make copies for all the rest (although I question that there are parents with this much free time), but there is a significant detremental effect, compliation tapes.
Now I can't use short clips of the tape in compliation tapes because the macrovision interferes with copying.
So long as you have a landline phone plugged into the wall jack, you can dial 911. You don't even have to pay for service.
The same is true for cell phones as well. If you cancel your cell service you can still dial 911 in the event of an emergency. It's some sort of legal requirement that telephone companies allow 911 calls to go through.
http://www.crutchfield.com makes adapters for everything.
If you buy a headunit from them, and you tell them what kind of car you have, they send you the adapter for free.
Very few vehicles today have standard sized radios, but there are adapters available for everything, and if you can't find one, you can always get something that is trunk mounted and beams over 88.1 or something along those lines.
Also, don't forget to get a wiring harness adapter (unless you want to cut and crimp the wires yourself.
The more important question is, why have Hollywood directors taken to making such incredibly long films? They are a pain to sit through, especially as there is no break in the middle so one can go to the bathroom and get a drink refill (so one will have to go to the bathroom again, but I digress.)
Ditto, at many intersections, depending upon how sensitive the sensors are, my Saturn Coupe does not set off these sensors. I attribute it to the plastic-ie-ness of the car.
I've read that there are devices you can buy that you strap to motorcycles in order to set off these sensors, as bikes aren't big enough to do it alone. I imagine something like this would help in my situation as well.
So young males are playing video games, and that is the source of your falling ratings? Could there perhaps be a correlation between crap, and lower ratings, which in turn leads to higher video game consumption?
I'm going to get modded down for advocating the MS position, but, despite reading the blog entry where he says he was fired for revealing MS's deep dark secret, I tend to believe there is something else going on here.
After all, MS develops office for Macs, amoung other software packages they port for Apple computers. This would infer that they at least test these ports once or twice, and they would obviously need macs for this.
The idea that he blew the whistle on something is bogus, at least IMHO.
Arguably though, people that buy expensive TV setups aren't doing so to watch television. (Everybody loves raymond at 65 inches.... why?)
They buy the equipment to watch movies (DVD's, which aren't high quality anyway....)
Personally, I don't see the need for super high quality television.
Adding on to the other posts, if Dell has any form of physical presence in your state, you have to pay sales tax. Whether its an actual Dell Store, or just a tiny kiosk in a mall somewhere, it doesn't matter.
In a desperate attempt to prevent interested parties from reading their crap, SCO has apparently taken it upon themselves to slashdot Groklaw. Impressive.
While there are clearly bad implications for this, there are many positive ones. I am constantly amazed when I ask people if they get the windows messangers pop-ups and they answer 'all the time!'
I've never gotten them (I suppose my router helps), but I turned off the service long ago, but I talk to many people who say they get them several times a day. They are always very grateful when I turn it off for them.
AOL shouldn't do this automatically, but they should have a prominent feature that allows users to download a program to shut messanger off for them (perhaps AOL could get such a program from one of the many companies that advertise shutting off this feature by exploiting it in the first place!)
I assume he has also ordered 're-evaluations' of the jobs of the 2 clerks that granted these patents as well.
Mod parent UP!

Does this mean that states are not allowed to regulate VOIP until the FCC reaches a decision? Or does anything change at all?

4. Establism market dominance
Sadly, we all know Apple has never been good at this.
"From the brief clips it looks like they've done a good job imitating the Matrix CGI on a low-budget"
Clearly this low budget also extends to their webserver. Mirror anyone?

This is all James Cameron's fault.
But when are they going to release the Star Wars Holidy Special on DVD??

This is the system I use in Wake County, North Carolina. I imagine you live in NC as well?
Oh yea, accidentally, I bet.
10 bucks says my university still doesn't upgrade it's servers from 2.0.40

You've got it. I question slightly why he carries his digital camera into work everyday, for this exact reason.

Such is life
Even if these numbers are too large, this still makes you think about how inefficient our cars are.
I think it shows how inefficient mother nature is. Stupid nature, not forseeing our need to drive Hummers and Ford Excursions!
In a desperate attempt to prevent interested parties from reading their crap, SCO has apparently taken it upon themselves to slashdot Groklaw. Impressive.
If we can't read it we have to believe them!
I for one welcome our new cyborgian overlords

This brand new Ford Mustang GT can be yours... erm, can be licensced to you for only $399 a month!
You don't own it, and you can't sell it to anyone else, but it's not a lease, cause we don't want it back! Your screwed! Ha ha!
Sliders was scifi's highest rated series when they cancelled it.
