Agreed. When I visited America, I went into McDonalds, decided what I wanted and got the correct change ready for when it came to be my turn to be served. Lo, I had in fact the completely wrong amount of change ready that they asked for.
It must be really awful for you Americans shopping, or do you all automatically add 15% (or whatever it is) in your head to any dollar numbers that you see in the supermarket?
If it ever comes to that, the phone is the ideal tool to work for you - just have a friend take your phone with them whilst you go about your more relative private business.
This whole "trust" nonsense is a thinly veiled attempt at shifting some of the security-onus from the OS to the hardware with the blessing of Microsoft along with the side "benefit" of Digital Rights Management.
If this keeps up, the meaning of the word 'trust' is going to change, more so than 'gay' has.
If you need XP to view the site, then you already have XP, and there's not much chance of any potential revenue being gained from the sale of a PC with XP on it.
Seems to me if they want potential revenue from the sale of a PC with XP on it, they'd better make the site work on 'competitor's' machines.
As you get older your priorities change. You start to see the world in a different light. At the moment I'm "between jobs". You'd think I'd have plenty of time to play the games that I want to. I have, but I don't. I don't because I feel it's more important to spend that precious time on gaining the skills needed to get another job. Only then will I have real time to play games.
Oh, the ignorance of youth.
Look at that cat. It's meant to keep you "calm and happy". It turns its head, moves its ears and blinks its eyes. Calm and happy? More like nervous and scared. Think Chucky:-/
Better yet, movie and TV series articles should be out in their own topic so that we can filter them out and not see the spoilers that the fuckwit Slashdot authors inevitably post.
It will also become routine for exploits to be 'released' on the day after.
How many species have men?
All comments seem to be about how the game shouldn't be blamed, but I don't see anyone blaming the game (yet)...
"Is P2P legal in your country?"
Turn it off.
"2k4" - ugh.
If everyone set them to rumble instead of wail, maybe we wouldn't have this problem.

Eliminating the competition's ability to communicate is the worse thing that can happen, and, dare I say, illegal?

I wonder who modded that redundant ;-)

So why post it when you know it's a dupe?
The pervert in the background going "uuhhhh... uuhhhh..." is too distracting.
Employees now work in shared areas or from home or elsewhere outside the traditional country.

Does that mean if someone takes a lobster as a pet and keeps it safe, keeps feeding it, it will grow to 20 feet long? :-D
The first Immortal MacLeod met, Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, had to be over 40...
So, you don't like The Microsoft Way, but you choose to associate the well known and ancient 'i.e.' with Microsoft. Interesting.
Pretend it never happened. Change history.

Oh, I see there is a 'Movies' section. Why the fuck was this not put in there?

No shit. If you have a Slashdot account, you can use your 'Homepage' preferences to exclude stories from specific arsehole 'authors'.
