Are you kidding? The media still acts like theft-identity is something new to the internet. I think they came to the realization that they need to get AHEAD of the news instead of years behind it, hence why they need to report on these issues now and get the debates started so they can be ready.
Keep counting on the misconceptions...it only helps the media out...
A witty remark will often slow a bully quite well.
This isn't always effective. In my junior high, a witty remark was usually just laughed at (even if the few bullies didn't understand it) and called lame immediately. Since others didn't want to be left out, they'd join in on calling it a lame comeback. That makes witty remarks about as useful as giving them the middle finger...it expresses your opinion, but no one really cares.
For example, how about getting rid of this BS that a student can have a cell phone in the school. I'm sorry, there is no reason for a student in high school or younger to have a cell phone with them during class or lunch (it is fine if the kid has it out in their car, but inside the building...no reason for it). This would eliminate kids taking pictures of each other in compromising times like when using the bathroom. (To someone who might say, "Well the kid will hide it"...trust me, kids don't hide things as well as they think. Most of them would probably forgetfully bust it out in places where it could be viewed by a teacher or administrator)
The second biggest problem that needs to be remedied is to teach them to respect adults! So many people fail to realize that many students today (especially in high school) refuse to respect their teachers at all unless the principal is around. If we can get these students to realize that they need to grow up and make something of themselves (something that doesn't involve acting like a damn reject of society), that may help the situation.
Well, be happy knowing that 80k+ people won't be buying much due to the fact that they'll be at a football game all afternoon. That's something of a boost I suppose:).
And yet all this liberal media is owned by rich white guys who vote Republican...yet somehow all these owners don't give a shit that the entities they own spew out information they disagree with.
Let's face it, all the news you see is complete BS anyway...if you knew what you really needed to know about this country, every person in political power, regardless of party, would be crying foul.
The reason is as someone mentioned in another post...to show that the war affected everyone.
Tolkien wrote that the whole Lord of the Rings series was an attempt to further tell the story of Hobbits and the surprising affect they had on Middle Earth. It wasn't meant to be focused on Aragorn's journey to being king (despite the fact that the movies are focusing on that). That was just part of the story...Frodo and Sam were much more important, hence why they get just as much time as 6 other characters do at once (Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Pippin, and Merry).
The whole return to the Shire shows how the Hobbits, whom everyone considered hermits from the world, ended up being affected anyway and how they are saved by who? That's right, the four hobbits that went out, explored, and changed the world while gathering experience that no other hobbits had. Remember, Bilbo is looked down upon for his adventure...yet these four come back and save the hobbits, something that would not have happened had they left. Had the world gone on without those four hobbits going on their journey, it is fairly safe to say it would've been years until Gandalf would've been back to rescue the Shire.
You are very right to say Tolkien knew much more about literature. He actually was capable to take a story that, to a point, went off track and bring it back to its point of focusing on Hobbits in the end!
Why is this a part of a service pack? This should be released NOW, not delayed like it is a big reason to download SP2 whenever that finally comes out.
Screw 'em...Firebird/Mozilla and Opera have done it for longer and therefore have done it better...IE will continue to sit on my system for last ditch surfing of poorly made websites that fail to work on anything except IE.
I remember a while back hearing about planes that could fly over and disrupt electronic devices. Are those planes using some of this kind of EMP technology or do they use something else that just performs similar actions?
You can learn the language just to understand the movie and then sell your talents as a translator to people who import Anime or video games from Japan and really want to understand them (so much so that they'd pay for it).
Presuming IBM makes a new chip, I'd hope they could come up with some emulator that Intel would agree to (c'mon MS, you can pay Intel off...you've got the money).
Did Sega give up after the Saturn bombed? No.
Why should MS just give up on consoles after Xbox? Perhaps if they intelligently design a cheaper system for future consoles they can easily make up for the losses they had to sustain in order to enter the console market.
Guy says in the review that the audio isn't that great, thus flushing the functionality of mp3 playing and making its usefulness as a cell phone kinda crappy.
That's a shame too because it looks like an nice phone and has some decent feature.
If Terry Goodkind is ripping Jordan off, then Jordan could use some of that 2 years time he takes to write each successive book to read Sword of Truth and see how to properly lay out a story.;)
I like both writers but Goodkind is the only one of the two who knows how to properly write a book in terms of a series.
The first time I played Unreal Tournament (the original) back in October of 99, I knew I was hooked. Fast CTF action on Coret...still the best game I've ever played IMO.
Demos can sometimes be exactly what you need to get you addicted to a game.
Hate to sound like a troll, but first things first...Epic didn't make Unreal 2, just the engine.
Blame Legend for the demo coming out well after the game (they weren't sure they wanted to release one) and for the game not being that great (well, I should warn I haven't played the game but am very disappointed to say I haven't heard many positive things about the actual game's value and challenge).

That's what I was thinking...I like the sound of it. Package it and ship it!

But does it do kareoke?
That's what invisibility is for ;). Grab that and a quad damage and you are ready to go :).
Well, the IBM system was just using PowerPC chips that will be used in next gen consoles...so it is close enough to an Apple anyway :p

Perhaps someone with foresight would learn it well before attempting such an idea as what I proposed...

Get some practical use outta it, right?

by the sound of what it will have, I'm thinking it will be the size of the GameGear O_O

Obviously with all those business students we'll just send lots of consultants to Asia to piss off the scientists/engineers :D.
Why do they think it'll take a couple of decades? I'd say give it a few more months and no one under the age of 18 will even know what cursive means!
LMAO - very true.
:).
Gamers everywhere will just continue 1337-5p34k for encryption I suppose
