The chances of a catastrophe are likely to become even slimmer once more measurements of the asteroid's orbit have been made.
Will measuring it somehow appease its appetite for destruction and make it less likely to want to hit Earth?
'Can retro clothing even help popularize forgotten characters? Wataru Maruyama of GamePro thinks so, saying "With Nintendo stretching their classic characters,..."'
I'll say this much: You won't see me in bright red overalls any time soon.
With Nintendo's main age group focus, they are probably right concerning the complexity level for titles they release. On PC, there are a range of titles that are as much mindless-shooting, deep story-based roleplay or complex stragtizing as you want, and everything in between. When a complex game is done in a manner that makes sense, and all complexities are well-thought out enhancements to the gameplay experience, I think that nobody would argue that the game should be dumbed down. It just may not appeal to some people.
Watching the news, a bunch of normal people heard "RIAA is going after people who get free music from Kazaa". And a bunch of normal people said to themselves, "Free music? I must look into this Kazaa business!" So there you have it, the RIAA is promoting Kazaa. Why do we even bother hating them?

"Any irony that you might be deposed by (SCO counsel) David Boies, who led the case against Micosoft?" [Thanks to slashdot for telling me all about what irony is and isn't.]
Sorry for the semi-off-topic rent, but I felt like getting it out. This is pissing me off... this terrorist information act is bullshit. The CIA/whatever has enough information already on any group you can name. The fact is, they just don't fucking use it. However it works, they are about as far away as you can get from being efficient with the data they have, so the government assumes they need more worthless information on their own citizens and then maybe they'll do their job. What we need to do is fire the government and elect smart people. Elections are a joke. Truth be told, I'd take Bush over Gore any day. But look what we're being fed! How many Independant candidates do we elect? The problem is, we, as Americans, are lazy and dumb. Maybe some wars and terrorist attacks will wake some people up, but probably not. The government will just keep on doing what it feels like off in their own world.
The problem is not preventing a program from being able to automatically sign up for any form it chooses, it is preventing a specialized program for preforming mass automatic sign-ups on one particular service. Those types of programs can cope with a bit more, since their developers code them to deal with what is already being used. Programs are much more effective at recognizing what they are being given, if they know are already expecting it. Let's say, for instance, that a company has several sound files of recorded voices, one of which it requires you to transpose in orger to sign up for their service. A random voice-recognition program may have trouble recognizing the word, but a program that has the sound files in its library already would have no trouble at all. Even if the company recorded hundreds of sound files with different voice actors, a program trained to those voices and files still would be able to figure out the word a good enough percentage of the time to render the precaution defunct.
Maybe not millionares, but I think private corperations should be ther ones to push farther into outer space, explore mars, colonize the moon, etcetera. Lockheed Martin and Boeing are both taking steps in that direction (well, at least working on getting into space). If, and when, they or other companies get their programs together, NASA will finally have what it's needed since we walked on the moon: competition. As it is, we're wasting too much money on a bloated government orginazation with no reason to work hard, no inspiration and no vision.
Seriously, I'm sure everyone using Linux now has had some experience with Windows before. Many have probably had quite a bit of it. I mean, "Oh my God, a Windows-user actually looked at Linux"... Please.
(thus adding cold water and having warm water overflow down the drain) in the event the water ever exceeded operating temperature.
Water in liquid form does not compress/expand due to heat. So it would be essentially average temperature water that would overflow into the drain. Adding cold water would lower the water's average temperature, however.

We should be asking who charged them for KaZaA. After all, that's charging for pirated music, in a sense.

I have this mental image of my cursor giving a web page the finger, but that doesn't seem overly innovative, so I'm probably wrong.
