if they don't superelevate they could use hydraulic jacks to tilt the train to one side as it turns, but that technology isnt just restricted to mag-lev trains.
He was trying to make the point that at higher speeds the train would be more likely to derail. but he's wrong anyway as the bottom of the train wraps around the track. In order to derail the mag-lev train would have to rip the track apart. Additionally, since the train is wrapped around the track and doesnt just sit on it like conventional trains do, its possible to superelevate the track (track rises on one side as it turns). Superelevation is used to counteract the centrifugal forces as a vehicles makes a tight turn at fast speeds.

How many years should I add before I can get the complete works?:p
If he does get to make the Hobbit I wonder who'll play the young Bilbo Baggins. Elijiah Woods would be a nice contender and the guy who played Bilbo in LOTR should have at least one part.:)
To Riaa/Aria, it will be hitting two birds with one stone. By getting ISP to censor the internet it would take down sharing of their songs and at the same time take down those that aren't enslaved to them.
It's a win-win situation for them if they get their way.
yep that's fine with me. I've seen pics of the game before around the web and I'm a big fan of old school RPGs sO i'll feel right at home. PSO was made mainly for online play anyway. the single player part gets boring real quick.
or you could just get a external USB hard drive. The drive is slightly more expensive than a bare bones HD but you can plug this into any computer. A drive caddy would require you to have the tray fitted on every computer you want to use it on.
Depending on how many computers you want to 'backup', a external HD could work out cheaper.
Which is another way of saying they got a 58% miss rate.
I think the only thing their study showed was, you're (not you but you get what I mean) less likely to find that stuff even if you're specifically looking for it.
How about the all the 2D Final Fantasy games (not all on one cart of course. They probably wouldn't all fit). One thing I love about the GBA is the return of 2D gaming. It's proof that past games never get old and the younger generation can still love them just as much as I did when I was *VERY* little. Hey, I'm still young now.:P
These 'rehashes' if you can call them that may be more expensive compared to the originals at the 2nd hand shop/online but you have less to worry about where to find them and you don't have to question the physical condition of the carts/discs and if it comes with the manual etc.
Sony claims their PSP will do 3d graphics , so the next GBA will probably be capable of the same. I don't have my hopes up that when these handhelds come out, there will be that many 2d games released.
Sony seems to have a policy against 2d games which is why you don't see many 2d games on the PS2 but you do on the Dreamcast. They either have to be chepaer priced or bundled as two on the PS2 so most developers (porters) don't bother.
This isn't a Square game but since they rereleased Lunar:SSSC on the GBA SP I'ld love to see the same happen to Lunar:EB.
I don't think the survey asks them the only console that they play. Just because they kept their older consoles and still play it doesn't make them a generation behind.
I missed out on Secret of Mana back in the day too. It was only when I saw it at a pawn shop recently that I jumped on it. Another time, I had the opportunity to get Terranigma but it was cart only so I passed on it. Now so sure it that was the wisest of decision to make now that I think back on it.;-)
I'm pretty sure Star Ocean came out here too in Australia. Don't get the wrong impression from my post that was get more RPGs than you do though, we missed out on Xenosaga, Lunar 1 + 2, Valkrie Profile, Thousand Arms , Xenogears.. lol the list goes on..
Probably because people are more inclined to listen to their friends than some review site which could have been paid to say good things about something. A friend is more likely to point out the bad points about a game than the good things (case in point a disatisfied customer will tell x number of people, but a satisfied customer will only tell y number. wher x>y). People tend to remember bad things more easily and when they play a game, the apsects they dont like seem to make a bigger impact on their impression of the game.
Didn't ms already try that? Nintendo basically told them to pound sand and ms went head-bowed on to build the xbox. I don't think they'll risk embaressing themselves again by trying again.
Can't have a SNES list without mentioning Secret of Mana, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Mortal Kombat 2, Star Wing, And the Super Star Wars Series can we?:-)

um.. I know you're joking but in one of those MS flight simulator version (I can't remember which one they were up to when 11th of Sept happened) they removed the Twin Towers from the scenarios.
A completed SEGA game, that was going to come out on th Dreamcast, got pulled because you could smash into buildings.:(
GTA3 got recalled then came back out a month later with hooker + car bits taken out. which was a shame since it was a integral part of the game to regain health.
GTA3:VC came patched already when it came out.
GTA3 on pc had the hooker bits disabled if the region setting in Windows was set to Australia....
me again.

I think we'll just see more advertising in the shows themselves. It'll be good news for the indie show makers but bad news for the stations.

oh man I'd get it for Phantasy Start alone. PSO on DC had me hooked when the servers were up.
It sorta is. The driver to update the firmware is windows only.
The Karma ships with 1.0 and 1.2 has a couple of bug fixes for the java client.

The same way --- more features and no spyware.
I wouldnt count on it so long as they have msnbc and ninemsn in australia.

I'll gladly have those for the others ^_^

There;s a smurfs game on the PSone. It was a nice rental. short but fun.
