Is all about supply and demand. AOMP3 doesnt have rights to the supply. Its critical to limit to the supply so that the content has value. Without value, there is no incentive for the music industry to invest in production or distribution. The concept that digital copies do not hurt is in error.
For example, in the US the Treasury controls the number of copies of paper money. If the US allowed Russia to _counterfeit_ US notes, the value of the US dollar would drop severely.
Consider US currency before there was a federal note or during the Civil War when the south had its own notes: Low value - or what we call inflation.
AOMP3 is making unathorized counterfeits. That is indisputable.
Open source is used without compensation. The point of holding closed source developers liable is to recoup lost investment. When a user uses open source software its "at their own risk."
