The irony here is that you are making fun of the first version of a Microsoft email program that does NOT give users access to executable attachments, and does NOT let an outside program use it to send email without approval gained from a popup window.
This is only the Default behavior by the way - this can be changed easily with a small change in the registry. I had to enable it for a company I did some work for because their custom software uses Outlook to automatically send e-mails in the background. Poor Bastards.
FYI - there is a relatively little-known tool that ships on the Windows CDs, I *think* it's called mkcompat.exe (for make compatible) that will allow you to "fool" an executable into thinking it is running on another version of Windows. I don't know if it would work for something like DirectX's installer, but it would have been worth a shot.
From the document: When examining the processor count provided by the BIOS, Windows.NET Server distinguishes between logical and physical processors, regardless of how they are counted by the BIOS. This provides a powerful advantage over Windows 2000, in that Windows.NET Server only treats physical processors as counting against the license limit. For example, if you launch Windows.NET Standard Server (2-CPU limit) on a two-way system enabled with Hyper-Threading Technology, Windows will use all four logical processors, as shown in Figure 4. [DIAGRAM 4] This example illustrates the great benefit provided by Windows.NET Server on systems enabled with Hyper-Threading Technology--customers are able to harness the processing power of four logical processors using a 2-CPU license.
Well that's unsurprisingly lame on Microsoft's part. Basically that document says "we're too lazy to update Windows 2000 to PROPERLY recognize SMT-enabled processors, and will screw you on licensing unless you upgrade to.NET Server"
That's where the Intellimouse Explorer comes in handy. Forward and Back buttons on the side, and I can remap the Wheel Button to MAXIMIZE, so I can see bewbs in all their glory.
Have you tried to download the Service pack? You most certainly can download that file and Burn it to CD. Same thing for the individual Windows Update files. You can go to the "Corporate" Windows Update site and download each update in a handy dandy installer package:
Windows Update Corporate Site
Maybe it plays that nicely on YOUR mac, but it's not quite that nice on mine.
The GF has a Dual 500 G4 running 10.1.5. (Long sidenote: I *think* it's a "sawtooth", but the early 400-500MHZ DP G4's seem to have slipped through the cracks in a lot of Apple documentation, were they not popular models or something? Mac code name scheme never made a whole lot of sense to me)
It runs X beautifully, but I need to have her restart Classic after running UT or Photoshop 6 before running another Classic app almost every time.
You're either full of shit or have some bad hardware in your box. Alternatively, you could just be incompetent or want to join in on the MS bashing with all the others. Either way, BS.

That is probably the worst idea for this I could possibly imagine. I am now dumber for having read it.
What the hell speed system are you running on that JavaScript slows anything down? I mean really. I have a PPro 200 with 64MB RAM running Windows 2000/IE6 (and Mozilla, I use them both depending on sites) and have NEVER, EVER seen anything slow down due to JavaScripting.
This is why the ads on Google work. I've clicked them many times because they're targeted well, and they don't detract from your results.
I tend to avoid clicking anything that moves or flashes, because I KNOW IT'S AN AD. The worst ones are the animated.GIFs where I have to wait 4 seconds for each line of a 4 line phrase to complete. I scroll too fast for that. The Google ones give me good information that could lead to a purchase.
I thought they had that already. I might just be full of shit, but I seem to remember Ericsson (or some other company maybe) selling a product like that a few years back.
Oh, that's fine, I'll just hit Refresh over and over and over again, that should help.
The first post I've ever wanted to mod legit Funny, and no mod points. :(

Well, the CEOs and other higher ups that run this country far worse daily for their dollars, why shouldn't I?
in my tiny Apartment. Brought the projector home from work and we all sat and chain smoked watching movies just underneath the beam.

Since it's in international waters, would it be ok if we did that?

Off-topic and strictly FYI, I don't believe WWE runs Robot Wars. Mick Foley hosts it, but he no longer works for WWE.
The Illustrated version of said book is even better for non-math/science people to follow.

That's because he IS biased. If you can't see that reading his reviews you must be blind.
Are you retarded?
I mean really, you just jumped from Point A to point G with absolutely no basis for it.
Wow. I've never learned so much useless information from a /. post before. Thanks!

That's why I generally browse at -1, most of the good shit is down there.
The machine he used was his old gaming machine before he upgraded, that's why it has all that other stuff installed.
I think there was a TV and Radio Tuner for the Sega Game Gear as well.
This might actually make sense. It might make the spammers themselves rich for a while, but eventually they'll start getting bad checks... :)
