I'm curious, my knowledge of this technology is limited, and I really want to know: I've held examples of the output of these 3D "printers" in my hand, they seem to be most useful for making prototype objects. Although the resulting resin forms seem pretty tough, is this technology transferable to production-quality things made out of steel? Seems like the technology would be limited if it only made things out of that resin. And if they can do steel, then obviously they can't be very cheap.

This episode occurred after the doctor strung this particular court along for five years of missed selection process dates, absences, excuses, apparently all by proxy (phone messages, written notes, assistants appearing before the court and making excuses, etc.) I'm not a doctor, true, but it was a massive pain in the ass regardless as I am a professional well. I don't have any sympathy for that doctor.

I'm sure slumlording is a very important vocation but that excuse won't fly. I've served on juries, the very last time in fact a doctor was told he had to appear before a judge on the very day I was there for selection in that trial. He had apparently passed along several notes to the court asking to delay, befuddle, and stay his own involvement in the selection process and the court had enough and informed him he would be personally present. After making several excuses verbally the judge looked down at him through his glasses (in that way only judges can) and asked "...doctor, you practice as part of a medical group or partnership?" "Yes, but...:" "And you take vacations?" "Well, of course but I hardly think..."
"Doctor, you will be here Monday morning for the start of trial and if not you will be in contempt. understood?"

    That was a fun trial.

Your problem appears to be with semantics. He and his peers (Gates, et al.) actually aren't "giving money away", as you seem to be saying they should be doing, where poor sods like you can (presumably) receive it and piss it away. He's giving it away to benefit a number of charities where it is presumed it will be managed to do the most good for everyone, not a few luck lottery winners. Your argument is specious and petty. These charities are like the world, theres good one's and there's bad ones. Here's a plan; go talk to Zuckerberg and make a case for YOUR favorite charity. You no doubt know exactly which ones will be the most effective and less likely to be simply an "...investment in America resulting in good will."

Nope. Do a little of everything, including maintenance, which means I get to see a lot of coding styles. A LOT. After several years of doing this kind of work I guess I'm a little jaded and have little need for case in most circumstances. I also posit that had there never been mainframes and the primative ttys I mentioned in the earlier post that case for sql keywords would never have developed. Object-oriented programmers (which came much, much later than procedural-oriented sql) prefer their keywords in lower case. From where I sit, either works, and is only easier to read if you're stuck in a rut. So I'm still stymied to understand the real need for case in sql statements. I'm sure its a good one, make sure you flag it so I don't miss it.
