Those headsets are sweet!! and so are the phones. It doesn't look the phones will work on verizons network, but i will certainly check into it more. (and its nice that Ericsson syncs nicely with my powerbook.:o)
(and for that matter a phone and headset are going on my christmas list)
I currently use both webmin, and a cobalt cube (on different servers).
Webmin is really good for the system admin stuff, and setting up new users etc... It also has good support for just about any version of linux, and application (ftp, apache, sendmail, qmail, etc...). I would not recommend using it for end user configuration as it grants a little to much power, and is geared towards the knowledgeable. It is however reliable and secure.
For the end user, there is an addon to webmin called Usermin and another titled Virtualmin. The first is geared towards the end user that needs to read email and such (although it is a poor webmail interface for the end user), and the second is geared towards your setting of end users creating and setting up email accts etc.
hopefully that helps... as it is what i will probably switch to when my cobalt cube dies.
usefull yes. However i stil can't seem to find a bluetooth headset to add to my phone. And for that matter, i was just at verizon upgrading my cell plan, and i didn't see any good bluetooth flip style phones. I finally have a laptop with bluetooth, and now nothing to go with it
What you are missing is that they transferred the data over UDT not FASTTCP
The press release at the national center for data mining says clearly that they used UDT. Google link to an overview of the protocol is here or the original.
I run an email server that handles a few dozen email accounts, and while I don't have that much [historical] data for reference here are the graphs anyway. Interestingly enough there are only about half a dozen acounts that get about 90% of the spam.
- Implementing additional security products, such as virus software and firewalls.
This is news! we have now been asked to install virus software on our pc's to help with security. Last i checked we were trying to install anti-virus software to protect against security vulnerabilities. The closest case of installing a virus to help fix a security problem would be the worm that went around *trying* to patch the msblaster virus (and we all know how that went).
It is nice to see that in addition to sending spam, he was indited for identity theft and hijacking (or spoofing) the return address.
This is a good precedent for anyone who has dealt with a Joe Job before. (myself included... three thousands bounced messages in two weeks... and counting). That said i think the time, and fine are excessive and don't fit the crime. a week of time total and $50/bounce would be fine by me.
I started receiving bounced emails in my inbox on September 20th, and on the 27th it picked up to where i am receiving 400+/bounces a day.
A joe job is more difficult than normal spam to track down. Normally you look at the headers and you know where it came from. With bounced email, the headers show where the bounce came from, and few bounced emails show the full original headers. If you are lucky enough to get full headers in the bounced message, you still only get as far as an open relay or such if the spammer is good. As the article mentions, the artist tracked the spammer down through several originating (hi-jacked) servers to the 'real source'! Kudos to Andy, he's done what I have not been able to do.... yet.
Normally i would agree with you. I upgraded to a color phone so i could read it easier, and yes it helped.
However if my phone had a monochrome screen with backlight as bright as the ipod i wouldn't care about color. It isn't the color that is important, it's the brightness factor, and apple already wins that category!
Actually it could be worth it, to the right person to prove the whole 'right of first sale' thing. Think about it; If you were a lawyer, purchased the digital song 2nd hand, got sued by the RIAA, and won, what have you gained in addition to popularity on/. ?
I'm assuming that is 3 to 4 hundred? I have setup a Procmail filter called 'Sanitizer' which is currently catching about 100/hr. It's easy to setup on a sendmail system (even at 1am). Thanks John Hardin. Perhaphs my users will be a little more clueless next time.
The recent success of 'downloadable music' sites should be a wakeup call! This is where the paper industry can one-up the music industry. Clearly they are beginning to realize a demand for works to be distributed in digital format. Now all they have to do is fulfill that need [and make money], instead of trying to kill another distribution method [and spend money].

Macromedia Dreamweaver MX is an excellent web development enviroment, however it does not support code-collapsing. ColdFusion Studio [now rolled into dreamweaver] did support that, but it bit the dust.
(If i'm wrong and anyone knows how to do this in dreamweaver, let me know!)

You obviously have not seen HIS other mug shots. They make the one in the article look pretty good!
... and last i checked iTunes was not even from 'the industry'. Now it clicks as to why the iTunes music store is so successfull.

Picture in question vs 'real' leak
2GB DDR vs 8GB DDR
4USB vs 3USB
AGP4x vs AGP8x
Dual G4 1.42 vs Dual 2
4PCI vs PCI or PCI-X
Did anyone else think it odd to see 'leaked' details for a G5 on a page to purchase a G4?
I may be nieve, but i thought linksys had quailty products. What problems have people had that lend towards melete's statement?
chalk another one up as un-seen sarcasim
Actually 'the Sapphire Worm' was just 376 bytes long. Not much extra code in that assembly program to track an author by.

Judging by this Homesite/Dreamweaver MX FAQ it really isn't a feature.
