The price here really is the issue. Not only the fact that it's GBP15+ per album, it's the fact that within 6-12 months it's often dipped to just below the GPB10 mark.

I live in Luton, England, and I see it as the other way around. With new pop releases, HMV have to compete with the supermarkets (and Internet retailers like CDwow) that can get great deals on bulk purchasing. When the album falls out of the supermarket sales chart after a few months, there is hardly any competition so HMV can put their prices up to the 16 pounds region.
So I use ebay a lot.

I'm going to have to import a US version of I-Ninja to play on my Gamecube. Datel's Action Replay means I can play games from outside my region, but there are a few games where I am unable to save. I'm looking into getting a Jap/US cube soon.

It's probably not all that easy to migrate it from a ps2 (64bit) to xbox (Intel) to Gamecube(who knows what).

For some games, these migrations have already happened and been released in other countries, and then Sony or someone else blocks it from getting a release in a different region.

I'm not sure the article makes this clear, but I don't believe they'll be using existing EA characters - I think the plan is to create all-new superhero-style characters which 'belong' to Electronic Arts. Whether this is a brilliant creative move or a cynical IP-building cash-in is, of course, open to interpretation. :)

I expect that if this game sells well, there will be a slew of games featuring your 'favorite' EA characters from the game.

I was called round to a friend's house when he was installing Live because he wanted me to set up his Windows ICS to share his broadband with the Xbox. I noticed where it said about payemnt renewal and specifically pointed out to him that it would take the money - unspecified amount at the time - unless he gave sufficient notice (a month or so beforehand).

I personally found the game an excellent piece of video game design but crossed too many lines for me to really enjoy. The idea of free exploration, completing missions when and in what order I want, and the incredibly fun driving physics. Now if a game like that could be designed like that, that didn't center itself around violent and illegal behavior...that would be a game I could completely enjoy.

Well, Zelda isn't an RPG. If you want RPGs, the Cube is a pretty bad choice as their are very few, although Namco has several coming out later this year.

If you are looking for a FinalFantasy-style RPG, try Skies Of Arcadia: Legends.
