    but somehow, putting a CD with an "experimental Gentoo" Release on it into my computer sounds just as fascinating and fun as open hearth surgery in nanibia or landing a space shuttle with chocolade heathshields...

    Are you kidding? The People's Imaginary Republic of Nanibia has some kick ass hearth surgeons. They came by Mom's place yesterday. We thought that fireplace was done for but after a double Chimney bypass it was roaring again we were all making Space Shuttle Heatshield Smores in celebration.

    But what would be the point. A bunvh of people would not give there info becuase they're criminals, a bunch would not give it because like me they like to fuck with the system whenever possible. So then what use is tagging anyone, if everyone isn't documented.?

    If you're on the West Coast check out Greencine. They focus more on Indy films, cult and docs and since they have a much smaller customer base you can actually email them and request a movie and they go out and try to find it for you.

    They're based in San Francisco though so if you live a few states away it may not be worth the extra shipping time.

    That what I've been hearing from all the "experts" the vibration from take-off always shakes stuff loose, so aren't they overreacting just a tad.

    This sounds like the death of US space travel, but maybe this will speed along a space shuttle replacement.

    This is a huge joke. The US isn't going to threaten China so China has no incentive to crack down on its vast piracy rings. What this is really going to come down to is busting a bunch of small timers selling DVDs in Chinatwon and giving them lenghty prision terms.

    In the 80's the prison population skyrocketed because of the "Drug War", now it'll skyrocket again because of the "IP War". Joe Public will pay more taxes to built prisons to hold these dangerous copyright infringers and the only one who wins is Big Business.

    Did they ever have any real power? ESRB ratings are ignored. I've spent in enough time in a Gamestop to see parents buying their 12 year olds copies of GTA, Doom, Soldier of Fortune, you name it.So even if you get an empolyee who follows the ratings, the kids just come back with their parents to get the shit. The parents don't give a damn that their kiddies are machine gunning pedestrians, but suddenly there's some sex and everyone's making a stink. The age difference between M and AO is one year for god's sake. How arbitrary can you get?

    What saddens me most about this whole thing is that Hillary Clinton had to go hitch her political wagon train to this absurdity. I really used to like her.
