Seriously, I don't think anyone reads EVERY SMS they receive, or even if one did, would he take such an SMS seriously? I can Imagine the hordes of Korean pranksters sending fake indictments around next year.
An SMS has no value whatsoever, you can't reasonably expect people to react to an indictment SMS the same way they'd respond to a physical letter. Besides, a lot of people SHARE their mobile phones (i.e a dad and his son who wants to go out), so I can just claim that the SMS was deleted when it wasn't in my possession.
DAMN IT BOY, how many times did I tell you NOT to shoot the zombies with the rifle? Use the g*damn pistol for medium range, and the shotgun for close range, you need every bit of ammo you can save...For chrissakes, AIM FOR THE F*CKING HEAD!!... EQUIP THE ROCKET LAUNCHER NOW, HE'S FROZEN!...GIVE ME THAT CONTROLLER, go play with your sister or something. God you suck d*ck, boy...
Well, the same you'd object to the use of stem cells to cure incurable/terminal disease, the Jehovah's Witnesses object to the idea of blood transfusions. What would you think if somebody died because he refused a blood transfusion after a major car accident? A blood transfusion is a way to save millions of lives, but it had to overcome social hurdles. Stem cells is also a way to save millions of lives, and is also controversial.
No thanks, I'll not inject myself with dead babies.
As long as you don't impose your choice on others... Some people would gladly inject themselves with dead babies, because they want to walk, talk and live normally again, and if it costs the use of cells that potentially could grow to become another person given the right conditions, then it's an ethical issue THEY have to deal with, not us.
Quick, somebody crack a in Soviet Russia joke before it's too late!
On a more serious note: So, the **IA wants to blackmail Russia into providing protection of intellectual property rights or risk not being accepted into the World Trade Organization... Like that will work.. 'cause in Soviet Russia, YOU blackmail music... no wait, that's not right...
On Firefox their menu renders into the middle of the page, but it looks fine on IE...
Target audience:*nix users...
Probability that said target audience uses IE: 0% (±0.00)
Going IE is not always the best thing to do®, IMHO...
The research, which appears online this week, is slated to appear in an upcoming issue of the journal Science, together with a paper from MIT reporting related results.
The content of both articles is beyond my comprehension of physics, but it looks like they're both aware of each other's work...
That focus on mass appeal wasn't the only departure from the development method Scandizzo grew familiar with at Blizzard.
Well actually Blizzard DOES focus on mass appeal, albeit not as "massive" as the one EA targets...
IMHO, Blizzard isn't really an "innovator" in games, their talent is in simplifying complex games as much as possible and spending a lot of time balancing the different teams/races/characters to make sure that online/replay value is maximized.
I mean, Diablo didn't really "innovate", and I find it pretty funny to watch a guy play the game, 'cause all he does is hammer the left/right mouse button repeatedly, with the occasional F1->F8 slamming. Yet I spent MONTHS playing.
Conclusion: Focus on the QUALITY of your title, it'll sell itself, instead of focusing on stupid buzzwords such as "innovation".
[Peter Jackson] lent his name to the longest game title in history: "Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie."
I dunno, you be the judge of that:
Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie
Daisuki Kina Sensei ni H na Onedarishi Chau o Masena Boku
Datsui Hokan Keikaku: Shinji to Yukai na Nakama Tachi Secret CD-ROM 2
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
Garry Kasparov Teaches Chess Vol. 1 - How to Play the Queen's Gambit
But of course I kept the best for last:
Leisure Suit Larry 5: Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work
Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (In Several Wrong Places)
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude - Uncut and Uncensored
Leisure Suit Larry 3: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals!
And that's only after going through half of the alphabet...
If this happening, the biggest loser might be Mozilla Firefox since many consider Opera to not only be the best browser available, but the fastest and the one with the best page rendering engine.
If someone had posted something like this on Slashdot he would've promptly been slapped with a -1 flamebait.
The smart move for the company would be for Microsoft to discard the entire code base of Internet Explorer and buy the Opera browser (from Norway) outright and use it instead.
Not that it has ever stopped Microsoft from doing anything, but wouldn't it be illegal for them to buy their competitors when they have a 90% share of the market? At least that's what they taught me in ECO 101.
The Santa worm is the latest tactic to be used on IM networks. Past tricks have included offers of movie clips to the latest release of "Star Wars" that instead led to an infected computer.
Yes that should definitely fool the 3 people who still haven't watched the movie into clicking on the link...
[Friend_1] Hey d0od check out this clip of the latest Star Wars...
[Friend_2] No thx just send me the.torrent...
An interesting use of the word antisocial... Reading Stallman's comments about the Open Source movement (or the Open Source campaign as he puts it), the vocabulary and tone he uses wouldn't be out of place in Marx's Communist Manifesto. Just like Karl's work though, you can't help but agree with every argument he gives, yet you know deep down inside that it just won't work:(
Well at least I'm doing my part running Lin ^H^H^H GNU + Linux...
The temporary rise in various non-BitTorrent P2P networks in November is DEFINITELY due to the launch of Azureus 2.3.0.6.
Thousands of users made the switch after realizing that they're STILL going to have to put up with the infamous NAT Error, and it STILL drives Ubuntu users crazy...
Ms. Kaplan also said that K.K. wanted his music to be free in the sense of being "freed from his guitar, free from any constraints." She added, "as a dog, it's understandable that he would not want to deal with any 'fat cats.' "
Bullsh*t... the dog specifically mentionned the industry fat cats, I don't think it can be any clearer than this that what is meant is the music industry...
By lying, Ms. Kaplan is also chipping away at the foundations of civilization itself too, and she her car should be the target of a Hellfire missile like any other terrorist...
Seriously, if I try to imagine the conversation of our grandgrandgrandchildren about what brought about the end of civilization, here's my list:
1- War
2- Natural Disaster
3- Alien Invasion
4- Killer Virus
5- Rise of the Robots
...
52,324,546,123,123- Piracy?
"Doctors are easier to recruit for trials because they don't have to go through the same ethics procedures as their Western colleagues," Ecks said. "And patients ask fewer questions about what is going on."
You know, there's a reason why doctors go through ethics procedures:
[Doctor] Don't worry, the numbness and swelling should go away in a few weeks' time...
[Patient] Grrwaaaaarrrwarrrrrr !
There are a few additional moves added into the mix
I stopped playing the latest PoP's when I realized that I was killing the monsters using the same goddamn animation over and over and over again. And it's not like the game would send 2 or 3 identical beasties at you, you'd get TWENTY of 'em, and all would have to die using the "I'll jump over you and stab you at the exact same place". And I wouldn't do it 'cause it was the easiest way to kill'em, it would be the ONLY way to kill'em. Bad design, IMHO...
And you need to use speelcheck, but you don't see me posting anything on Slashdot about it ;D

Here's what M stands for. I couldn't find a single one that would fit in for MTV... "money" maybe.

Hundreds of books on how to win at Pac-man? My god... I think most of them would be along the lines of:
1- Collect as many yellow dots as you can.
2- If an encounter with a ghost occurs: 3- When no yellow dot remains, next level (NL) is achieved. return to 1-.I think they forgot Star_Wars_Bootleg.torrent...
