Light Mode will be back in some for or another. The problem is that light mode served two purposes: Low Bandwidth, and Simplified Design. The later will probably be handled with a CSS theme (we have a handheld theme already). Low Bandwidth is a little trickier, but we will resolve that soon.
please mod parent up, you can suggest renaming GooMail or whatever but the real problem is "What would that do to all the people with @gmail.com addresses?"
If you're getting "weirdness" you haven't turned off all the options. There's the desktop appearance but also the folder views and start menu to switch.
But once you've done that it's just like 2k, no weirdness here (and I run a 2k box at work and xp with 2k look at home, so I'm exposed to them both everyday)
Battlefield 2's medics, heavy-weapons solidiers and mechanics are now the main source of health/ammo/repairs along with crates drops from the commanders. There aren't any (auto-spawning) kits
I believe that it should be an (independent) institution rating the games, not the authors.

I think it shouldn't be bought! And by that, I state that it's a pretty sick mind's need to play such a game. There is something to be done by all educating parties: parents, school and most importantly, the media. comment.
Who are you to define what is sick in my mind ? (you can't beat a good old ST prime directive conundrum )
It's just sad that some parents can't make out the difference between a titled "Mario Kart" and "Grant Theft Auto"
Parents who don't play games are going to have a tough time selecting games for their kids if they are clueless about their content (same thing for movies, except these same parents might know a tad more about them). Just because your kids do something doesn't mean you have to become an expert on the subject.
BTW my gf and I both being video-game-junkie DINKS I might not be the most authoritative person on the subject, but I can sure feel for those clueless parents (I've guided one or two lost souls in the VG section of the supermarket)
I beg to differ, one of the pleasures of playing games (and reading books and watching movies) is exploring possibilities you wouldn't normally (and in this case legally) be able to do.
Dr. Johnson: (places two manuscripts on the table, but picks up the top one) Here it is, sir: the very cornerstone of English scholarship. This book, sir, contains every word in our beloved language.
Prince George: Hmm.
Edmund: Every single one, sir?
Dr. Johnson: (confidently) Every single word, sir!
Edmund: (to Prince) Oh, well, in that case, sir, I hope you will not object if I also offer the Doctor my most enthusiastic contrafribularities. (or maybe `contrafribblarities', coming from the word `fribble'. A closed-caption decoder would help here.)
Dr. Johnson: What?
Edmund: `Contrafribularites', sir? It is a common word down our way...
Dr. Johnson: Damn! (writes in the book)
Edmund: Oh, I'm sorry, sir. I'm anispeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericombobulation.
Dr. Johnson: What? What? WHAT?
Prince George: What are you on about, Blackadder? This is all beginning to sound a bit like dago talk to me.
Edmund: I'm sorry, sir. I merely wished to congratulate the Doctor on not having left out a single word. (J sneers) Shall I fetch the tea, Your Highness?
Prince George: Yes, yes! And get that damned fire up here, will you?
Edmund: Certainly, sir. I shall return interfrastically. (exits) (J writes some more)
well, that's more of the bank's responsibility. My bank's homebanking site works fine in IE, FF and Opera. It is a bit sluggish, being java, but it works cross-browser.
they've already tried to have a 'man-made diamond' label stuck to all these rocks, hoping that you or your ladyfriend would think that buying a non-naturally produced diamond makes you cheap
missed the preview, so for the grammar nazis, I meant "they're missing"
actually grandparent is right. for anglophobic french people, the web is very different from what you and I know (there missing about 90% of it)

Nero Recode (latest release) can do all the work for you

I always thought pens were like umbrellas, they don't belong to anyone in particular, they just appear and you pick one up when you need one...
agreed, the box art was awwful, but you know the old adage "don't judge a videogame by it's box art"
I suggest you look into typo3, it changed my opinion about php cms'

I use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search =%25s&go=Go
with wiki as keyword, so I can "wiki slashdot"
or better, with phpmyadmin, "pma dbname"
