This compatibilty only relates to using MP3's that you rip yourself, from itunes on different devices .
The OP was saying that if you want to use the AAC files from the Itunes Music Store you have to use an ipod, unless you use one of the previously mentioned methods for copying to cd and then re-ripping to MP3
One of the basic tenets of Christianity is the spreading of the gospel. Your intolerance to their religious beliefs is akin to you forcing your religion, or lack thereof, on them.
It a vicious circle my friend.

I think its kind of silly to put them on the spot. Do you ask United way how where all the cash goes. No, they give you a list of services they provide and leave it up to them to decide how to provide those service.
If a church takes a collection to build a new roof, do they have to itemize the beams and nails for the congregation.
As a a registered non-profit, I can assure you the IRS will keep better tabs on their donations then you can.
I am in no way affilliated with Wikipedia, but if you don't trust them, don't donate.
This is also targeted at the large share of households who might not be able to afford to go down to Best Buy and plop down 400 bucks for a PC, but could probably swing a monthly payment of $24. Its exactly this market AOL is aiming for, those who can't afford to shell out the upfront cost of the computer. For these people, its either that or get a piece of crap computer at Rent-a-Center for $50 bucks a months.
400 dollars is a lot of money to alot of people.
Why buy when IIS Disguise is free?
To those who say this is a form of imitation, obviously you've never seen Apache Admins identify their machines as IIS. Its not flattery, its just smart admining. why advertise what your vulnerabilities are?
If you Read the article you will see that they are claiming the if they don't agree to the terms of the ban, then they are cut out of almost 80% of the distribution channels.
The MPAA is basicalling saying, play by our rules, or no one will ever even know your movie exists
You can't tie the availibility of morphine over the counter to the crime rate in America in the 19th century.
Accepted societal norms have changed. Back then people believed in personal responibility, had a higher general sense of morality and were usually too busy trying to eke out an existance then have time to get high and sit on their couch.
No, but crackheads like you would still be too screwed up to hold a job, and thus would cry and complain until the government provided medicare assistance to pay for your prescription.
Not to sound like a total capitalist pig, but do you think companies would invest in someone like Lebron James if he didn't do something for them? Like make them money? Which allows them to hire more people. People who might hate their $1 job, but hey its better the not working at all. Contrary to popular belief, most companies aren't raking in the dough based on huge profit margins (with the exception of the recording industry), but rather make up for the slim margins by selling in huge volume. Huge volumes requires huse salesmanship
Lebron James gets more then the person making the shoe because he sells the shoes. its a proven fact in advertsing that celebrity spokesman can sell more widgets. Without money spent on advertising and sponsoring celebrities, whose gonna buy the goods these people are making?
There is no Title X, at least that I could find. I think you are thinking of the Electronic Communications Act of 1986. This did extend to computer the say provisions as the phone when it comes to wiretaps and such. However, it does not prohibit an employer from monitoring the communication systems that they own. The important thing is that you must notify the user that their communications are subject to monitoring. This usually take sthe from of a written document saying as much that each employee signs when they start.
As long as your company makes it clear ahead of time that any and all communications on company computers is monitored and that the User has no expectation of Privacy, then the users can't complain.
I suggest you have your HR folks read the act and the applicable case law more carefully. You can and should be monitoring what happens on your companies network.
Responsibilty doesn't end at the mother. The fact of the matter is that Meth is an illegal substance that does physical, monetary & social damage.
Yes alchohol does the same thing, but we as a society have declared it legal. That does not mean we have to approve of everything. Society has decided that the risks involved with meth are greater then alchohol and hence we have passed laws against it. If you don't like that, fine try and change the law, but good luck.
By that account I guess we could sell tactical nuclear weapons on the open market and the only people to blame are those that use them.
Ever stop to consider the costs that taxpayers pay to clean up meth labs. Toxic chemicals so foul and unstable they can blow a house up and require men in bunny suits to clean up after?
As I said earlier, dumbass.
Hmm, you've never heard of Cigarette smuggling?

Did you know that fires started by cigarettes are the leading cause of death by fire?
Heres some links for you proving that yes, people have been killed for a cigarette. (or at least commited major crimes)

Also don't forget the increased crime rate from addicts stealing, robbing and murdering to get their next fix.
If you honestly think marijuana/ or any other drug for that matter is a harmless drug, then your are horribly naive, My wife and I do foster care for the state and I've seen first hand the affects these harmless drugs have on these addicts children. Not just the absolute physical torture that being born addicted causes, but the severe emotional damage caused by living in a house where mommy's more concerned with getting her next joint. Some of these parents who "just use pot" are just as bad as the ones using meth, or crack.
Maybe you can handle smoking pot, but many of them can't. And after seeing the carnage it causes to society by the those that can't, it definitely worth it to me to keep it illegal.
Funny you should say that as I'm writing this as I wait for one of my ISA servers to reload. I grabbed the latest patches from Microsoft yesterday, applied them and the machine refused to complete a reboot after that. I don't know what caused it yet, and I don't have time to find out. Just my 2 cents.

Damn I wish I had some mod points. Thanks for posting the correct version of the truth. :)

Good point! I am far from a Microsoft apologist, but this article just struck me as wrong in so many ways.
Here I thought /. was the source for fair and balanced coverage.
Must be a slow news week when a college kid can get the media's attention because he decided to point out the obvious.

Grelado is a pillar of journalistic integrity. Without his deep social investigating, How would we have ever known what was in Al Capone's vault?

In my unscientific survey, (reload, count to 20 mississippi, hit reload again) that comes to about 33 hits per second. Not bad for an ebay listing. :)
