I do apologize for using the term midgets. It seems I'm a little behind in times. It wasn't meant to offend anybody, and I've taken note that "the short statured" and "dwarfs" are the preferred terminology (though I won't be using "Little People" as, IMO, it implies less of a person).
Could a patent be any more broader? Quoting the original/. posting of this article,"method..for creating a computerized market for used and collectible goods" Computerized market for used and collectable goods? Are you kidding me?!? Sounds like the makings for a monopoly to me...
Gollum was a great character. Yeah, the camera work back and forth may have been a little too much, but I think that's a great way for Gollum to be depicted. His split personality was shown greatly and that is the one thing I am actually looking forward to in the third movie since they already messed with the storyline so much!
I'm curious as to why Google declined comment on the case. It just seemed a bit odd. They were clearly in the right and everything went there way as it should have. Maybe I'm just more interested in why CNet mentioned that Google declined comment in the article.
At any rate, yet another ridiculous law suit. Fortunately, this one ended up right.
'we can effectively deny criminals the use of the roads.'
I fail to see how they can say that. Public law enforcement will never be able to deny crime in any way as long as the people continue not to fear the punishment.
All this does is go one step further to tightening the hold that the law has on the abiding citizens.
I guess it's all about what you like. My friends told me I had to read the LoTR book before I went to see the movie. I read the first one in the four days before the first movie came out and read the second one in the day that the second movie came out.
I'd definitely have to agree with ya there. Explore!
I have to recommend anything by Tom Clancy. You should be kept interested by the constant changing of seemingly unrelated plots that, in the end, all wind together.
Completely off topic, but LoTR difficult to read? I was just curious about what brought you to this conclusion.
At any rate, you guys definitely have me sold on the Ender's Game series. I think I'll head out to the library and pick it up tomorrow.
It never ceases to amaze me what worthless (but cool) things people come up with when they have time on their hands and technology to waste.
Don't you all work!!
Many of us here on/. are developers. Are you going to honestly say that you've never screwed up in one of your releases and had a security or other bug slip through testing? You tell me that and I've got two words for you...bull ****. Yeah, Microsoft is on a much bigger scale than most of us, and they make a lot more money in sales, but everyone screws up still.
Everyone screws up, even the "big-bad-money-hungry" Microsoft everyone loves to complain about!
Why try to convince more people to game? That's all us gamers need are more campers to lag up are servers!
Does anyone else find it kind of creepy that, as of late, there have been more new and expanded ideas on tracking vehicle travels? (UK Police Expand License Plate Camera Systems)

Thanks a lot for the heads up!

How does TiVo respond to the modding/hacking of their products? I know that most companies seem to get pretty angry about it.
Also, it's great that O'reilly is picking up this up.

Moving two humps around in a synchronized manner with your hands. What could be better?! For $695, it's like owning your own semi-whore.
And look how well that worked out for them. Their just grasping for anything and everything to keep them from drowning.
Let's see them actually use some real height challenged people. Stupid camera tricks!
But they still look a bit blocky and slightly big. I'm going to have to wait until they get into the next generation before I seriously consider one.
Yup...Thirty minutes or less. Or your money back!

And Mom always said Video Games would kill all of my brain cells!

You forget the lack of space! It's there. You just wait and see.
