everyone is overjoyed that all taxes have been repealed....however now the government is funded by watching your every move and fining you for any and every infraction of the law....including walking and chewing gum at the same time.
is that the fifty-third or seventy-ninth amendment that grants corporations those rights...oh yea...those are just as imaginary as the easter bunny...at least HE leaves me with truly free goodies. Santa is the original spyware though....he sees me even when I'm sleeping!
It seems that this effort is a tactical nuke directed at open source. Why is it that companies and governments seem hellbent on regulating or removing the ability of people to build and develop their own projects? Power, plain and simple. If they allow people to expand their horizions and learn new things and do things in new ways, then these entities lose their power. The government and the monopolies are drunk on their own power and are ready to off anyone who's here to kill their buzz. Hearing a politician say they're here for my best interests both sickens me and makes me want to double over in laughter (if only it werent so serious). The best leaders are the ones who are forced into service due to circumstance because they have a vested interest to do whats right and dont have an interest in keeping themselves there any longer than necessary.
I continue to find it amusing that no one is going to comment on whether you "own" these downloaded games or not. If the hard drive eats it, do I get all my games back? What about the time it takes to download a multi-gig game? The broadband industry is gonna shit itself having to deal with that kind of bandwidth usage. These entertainment companies either need to make MAJOR investments into fiber or they need to realize that no one is gonna spend all week downloading Final Fantasy XXX. And what about the HAL-9000 servers and rainbow-bridged-mega-channeled-OC-192s that they are gonna need on THEIR end? That's a nightmare waiting to happen. Thank you, I'll spend the time and gas to go to Walmart or BestBuy.
you have to love the legal system here in the US...on the other hand it does make it easier to obtain a lawyer. www.lawyertree.com, when lawyers compete you win!
We must thank our overlords for blessing us with ten years of free sex, bigger penises, and making money at home! I mean where would we be without them? I for one continue to welcome our spam overlords' 2300 messages a day!
usually I dont care what they mod me to, but I seriously dislike being modded troll. I NEVER intend to troll, its rude....except for that last sarcastic comment...that was in self-defense...and I was crazy...and...It's comin right for us!! Blam Blam Blam!!!
sitting at a damn computer screen all freakin day is getting depressing...I'm even posting to sites that whine about music prices and technology run amok...;-)
yea just keep throwing money at it and it can be successful. They keep doing these things were colleges buy it for their students and such. Screw that, my costs are high enough as it is and I really dont give a flying fuzz about helping the RIAA out. They can kiss my ass and keep their music.
Maybe, finally, SCO's claims will be exposed for the crock they are. Hopefully, doubtfully, this will expose the crock lawsuits that seem to pervade our country. But I'm not holding my breath. It seems far to many people forgot that this country was built on WORK, not sucking the blood of others. (But that invokes comments on many other subjects as well...mp3 traders, riaa, mpaa, corporate mentality)
ah yes, but RTFM and you will see that exist in MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS! (insert gasp of awe here) So that's like parallel processing with hyper-dimensional-threading!
....meanwhile Intel patents Multi-Dimensional Monkey Technology (MDM Technology! tm) and is promptly sued by SCO for copyright infrigement since all those monkey would have had to have writen system V code in all that hyper-dimensional time
and indeed, yea verily, I welcome our multi-dimensional monkey overlords but remember that in Soviet Blackhole, singularity observes YOU!
is this like an infinite number of monkeys with those typewriters? And since time passes so strangly there, why the heck haven't we detected x-rays sending Shakespear?
These communities are fueling the future economy...one where the corporate media cannot control all of your information. I just wish I could be involved in this in my own city. Multi-megabit pipelines for pennies on the dollar. Everyone needs to support this.
Obviously you dont use the thing called the right side of the brain...its where creativity occurs.

this was chosen OVER WMA. so maybe the record companies are not *completely* evil...maybe they're like the diet coke of evil. One calorie, not enough.
