How do you mean they were "painfully unbearable"?
I thought that they were done very tactfully. The racing in GTA was a lot better than many games that are racing specifc.
After GTAIII and Vice City...it would be hard to make a game that was a "stinker" as long as it was kind of related to the first ones. I mean Vice City was an improvement on a game that was really cool on its own....
It takes effort to make a good game worse. It has been done before...but hopefully not in this case.
I really like the GTA games...and i hope that the future ones are just as good...hopefully better.
Don't get me wrong...I like side scrolling games...(Contra...Gradius...Mario...etc)...they were all awesome...
But Megaman Network Transmission...the screen shots on Gamespy (http://gamespy.com/previews/june03/megamanntgcn/s creenshots.shtml)...in my opinion...look positively laughable...
It looks like a cartoon...or like some 12 year old kid did it all in Flash...The movie preview that you can watch for free from the official Megaman site (http://www.capcom.com/megaman/megaman.html) still doesn't do it justice...
I can see that the cel-shading does make a large difference...but i would think that they could have made it a lot better....
If I pay 200$ for a Gamecube (which is supposedly supposed to have awesome/realistic graphics) I would expect to see really awesome graphics...but if i paid money for this game and the graphics were not exceptionally better than these screen shots and the trailer then i would be really dissappointed with this game...how can you think it is any fun if it looks so stupid....
I am not sure but...some people like having realistic physics...It helps people get into the game...It makes it more believable...

I agree with this...but...having realistic physics in the game doesn't mean that you cannot do these things...It simply means what happens to the game world when you do...
If you are playing as spiderman and just effortlessly leap over buildings...that is not realistic...you don't believe that you are spiderman...therefore it is not a fun game....

If the new expansion doesn't have its own cd key to be able to play on the internet...
Then I don't see how retailers are going to sell 2.5million copies of the game......There is a whole lot of piracy going on here.

They do have different game titles....
So one maybe faster than the other (hardware wise) but just saying one is better is also trying to say that the games for the GameCube are better than that of the Playstation 2......which doesn't make sense because you can't really compare two completely different games....

It is a computer specifically designed for playing games...hmm...Like an Alienware...umm...no....Not unless you want to pay 2000$ (Alienware) instead of 500$ (PSX +whatever comes with it).

On the other hand Counter Strike 2...has a potential to be the best multiplayer FPS....

It seems to me that if you have discs in something that you are going to be carrying around and moving and bumping, etc......Won't they have to develop a way for the disc to not skip or jump...?

I also have a PS2 and have beaten the shit out of it and NEVER had any problems playing DVDs......This sounds like a case of stupid people trying to get money......Oh look two people have complained about a problem that has a very narrow scope...better sue someone...that would solve all our problems....
It seems to me that if you outlaw one thing that represents, to some mythical overlord and protector of all citizens, virtual/simulated violence that will obviously begat more violence...then you should outlaw it all....At some point you have to let the people make there own decisions...instead of a bunch of high class morons just deciding that it is in the best interest of the community to ban something, maybe it should be put to a vote of the community (i mean that way you would have a better idea of what the community itself is concerned about...)
Also you can't go around blaming I-Tea for causing problems with youth just as you can't blame video games for corruption...It may be a contributor to sociopathy but blaming things/people doesn't solve the problem...Neither does banning things......Marijuana is ILLEGAL does that stop people from getting their hands on it...NO...In fact it probably causes more violence/illegalities...
This whole thing is just a show of how people don't really take the time to think about things....
Also i would like to note that i am for freedom of speech...i don't think things should be banned......There is no point in banning GTA or Enter the Matrix...just as there is no point in banning Harry Potter or Mein Kampf in school libraries...People should educate their children instead of locking them up...You need to make concious efforts to teach them that Killing people is wrong....
So when will the new Counter Strike mod be out for HL2....
Do you think that the gameplay will be significantly different from the current CS..?
I think that a new CS would be awesome...better graphics better physics...what more could you ask for..?

I loved Fallout Tactics...but the other two weren't especially good in my taste....
I hope that Fallout 3 is either squad based like Tactics...or Icewind Dale 2....
Otherwise...they need to do something to make it more friendly than Fallout 1 & 2....
